I would suggest topping and LST....Let all the arms/tops come to an even level and get them tall because there is little to no stretch. My Bubba Kush x Deep Chunk is the slowest vegger and doesn't stretch more than a couple inches in bloom.

Lol well I think I'll go with scrogging,I have the room, how high should I set the screen above the buckets, also how big should I make it ?'X ?',I'll be using a 600w hps for veg then switch over to 1k hps for flower also thinking about getting a light mover too.

Well here's a few pix of this bubba kush cut bloomed in soil, the 2nd 2 are dries a littlebit.it has a very pungent musky fruity smell and the flavor is a mix of that smell and a hint of some sort of pleasant calogne and it taste just like it smells and the burnt smoke smells as if you were smelling a bud I love it and I hope to get bigger nugs runnin it in hydro.

eff the mover. get a t5 to veg w, and get that 600hps in the bloom room w the G, son! that is if you got the space and can cool it. ;) better get a bigger AC. I know that rooms hot enough as is. you may want to just take down the 1000 and run the 600 this summer. it's only gonna get warmer. be careful w the temps in that RDWC system.

I know its gonna get pretty warm, got some h2o2 todat added 48ml to 16gallons the A/C is runnin not quite all the time but I'm gonna duct my 1k fresh air in strait outside so I think thatl work and I am gonna get a water chiller just don't know when, also my T5's are over my soil plants vegging those and the mover was so I could use just the 1k to cover the hydro and soil, but I was thinking I have flip boxes maybe I could flip the 1k every 2hrs during the 12 on?

dude, maybe use the 1000's on your soil grow, and use the 600 on your hydro setup, you'll be able to place the 600 way closer than a 1k, with the light mover, you can't go wrong. lst those bitches in soil under the 1k, and use a 3' x 6' scrog screen with the 600. tidy that room up a little bit, that will help with cooling a bit. you have lot's of air volume there, so with the correct placement of everything, it could be very efficient, and rewarding. good luck. keep it green.

well i only have 1k at the moment and i was thinking of either running the 1 1k on a mover to go over the hydro and soil OR getting another hood and set up the 1k on the flipbox to where theres a 1k over each the hydro and soil and itl flip between the 2 every 2 hrs and that would be during the bloom phase only, during veg i plan to stay with the T5's over the soil plants and the 600w over the hydro, and you think i should do a 3' x 6' screen over the 4 hydro? the buckets ar in a 4' x 4' inner liner out of my tent, so id think id wana make it atleast 4' wide yeah? and im not done with the room i wana tak either mylar or poly on the walls and get whatever doesnt need to be in there out just been busy.

well i think im gonna go with scrogg/LST/ having my way with those little gals. i topped them for the first time lastnight, theres already 4-6 nodes on all 4 plants so they should start catching up with the main top in a couple weeks.

so how far should i set the screen up over my buckets? iv seen all sorts of ways, one way i saw and kinda liked because the screen was like 2ft away from the bucket so it was like a cross between tree/scrog sound like a good idea? maybe not 2ft like the one i saw but somewhere like that? my cieling is 7'1" so head room is very limited. so can some one sorta pinpoint the cross of bubba i have? iv been trying to get ahold of the guy i got it from cuz i really wana know more about it so i know what to anticipate/look for when training them.

from your description, it looks/sounds like pre'98 to me. instead of a screen, have you considered small tomato cages? bubba don't stretch much. if you can tie her down and get 20 heads up top under 2', I would net em around 6" from the tops of the canopy at flip. after the initial stretch in 12/12, they probably wont grow more than 6-10", they do stretch a little bit (4-8"). start at 2' and with LST your plants may end up 3'.

I would let them grow straight up to the screen, top them, and train. But first, I'd get that air pump off the floor! If your air pump stops or you have a power outage, water will siphon down to your air pump (don't ask me how i know!lol).

so I'm going to get the screen up here in the naxt couple days and i will lst/train.

So toohighmf since this doesnt stretch much how full do i let them fill the net before flipping?

I haven't has the pleasure of dealing with a plant that doesn't at least double in height during flower....at least not while growing in DWC/RDWC. If it was me I would say go with a scrog 12-15" above the buckets, and skip the topping. Topping will slow your process down. It is not necessary to top plants to get them to fill the screen, just let them keep growing and keep training them back under. Your RDWC looks very similar in design to mine (top feed, bottom drains, 2 buckets per leg), take a look at my thread give you an idea of what a RDWC will do. Also, there are several others with nice RDWC systems around here.

Or you could always just do what I end up doing, grow trees, I am just too lazy to build the screen and maintain it lol. I still get 5+ ounces a plant (on average, some much closer to 8 zips)
