cloneing question

Can I use a 1000w hortilux super blue about 5 feet above? a light i use also for mother plants(im not wasting 1000w for clones lol) i was going to make a diy ez cloner friend offered some free cuttings but i have to root them myslelf . i need 100% success

I have a ezcloner 60 in my mother/veg cab with a flouro over it 24 hours a day. My 1000 watt MH hangs about 5-6ft away on 18/6 and I am getting 100%. I was worried myslef but I tryed it and it has worked fine The room dimensions are 8l X 6W X 6h, good luck Norcal!

Any reason why you would chose to run a 1000 instead of say 2 400's or even one?

kinda off topic but whats the foot print of a 400? 3x3?

A 600W is good for 3'x3', a 400W 2.5'x2.5'.
