I have a DR80, I had to make it a little smaller depth wise. I had to shorten it to 24 inches deep. Can anyone with a dr80 show me pics of their carbon scrubber set up? I have a 6 inch cool tube with a 4inch scrubber fan combo and the ducting and reducers to go with it.
I plan on hooking the fan up to the scrubber with about an inch or two of ducting and then to the cool tube to blow the air out of the cool tube but I seem to be having trouble placing it. Can it be right next to the light? I seem to have to bend the ducting too much.

I dont have pictures but Ill explain how I have mine setup.
Attach the fan directly to the scrubber
If you have the door open.... top left back corner hang scubber with the straps, bottom to back of tent so the fan is blowing at you, hang coltube same way in the center, run ducting from fan to cootube, then cooltube out the back right top 5'' vent hole.
I have a goblin filter with a 6'' active air attached directly to it with 6'' ducting running the whole way. the ducting bulges a little on the door but nothing Im worried about. Yo should hav any at all with the smaller 4''.
So if you set it up this way you shouldnt have any problem.
The thing with reducers is make sure you have the stubby kind. you can find those at a hydro store for like $8. The ones from HD are about 5 inches longer.

hey peeps I added a 400 to the 600 to get more of a better light spread temps staying at 78 lights on and 65-70 lights off I should get about 14 zippers on this test go I also dropped the 400 about 8 inches lower than the 600 so we should explode in the next couple days

I have some bubbas in soil and some in hydro and the soil bubbas are faster than the ones in hydro they seem to be fatter and finishing faster.I need to find out why!!!!!

Heres mine two 8 mile highs after 30d flower under 400w

it has been a couple months since i have been here and damn, this thread took off!
I see some very nice things going on out there.
Setup: GL80 w/ 400w hps gasketed glass sealed air cooled hood, LC's organinc soilmix #2.
Here are some PurePowerPlants in 4 gallon air-pots. theres a Sour Bubble and a Sweet Cindy99 that just started to flower in there, as well as a sour bubble thats about to be chopped.
Managed to snap a pic right before the lights went out and a couple after.
In pic 3 you can see the SC99 in the front left and a Sour Bubble right behind her.
Pic 4 there is another sour bubble i just placed in there as well on the far right.
Everything flowering is at day 56, besides the little SB and SC99.
PPP's should be ready in a week, then another run of Sour Bubble and Aurora Indica and SC99

Looking good Sednal I should be having some incredible buds myself in the following weeks but my camera wont take pics with HID lighting anymore!!! So no more tent shots for now but I'll show what I have in there right now at 7 days of flowering starting week 2 tomorrow!

Like some bomb ass Granddaddy Purple with a twist lol and it's super nice purps and I can't WAIT!!! To be smoking on some again cuz the lil bit I got on a cfl grow was so damn good and expanded in my lungs big time.
Nice I have 5 Magic Merlin and 3 Strawberry D's rooted and ready to veg the whole time these are flowering so they are nice and big for next round!

Just spent way too long reading almost this whole thread.... Im glad I found it, my girlfriend on the other hand....
I have had a Dr40 for a while doing CFL grows, pushing 270 watts! I got a Kandy Kush about to come down, cant wait! I will post pics!
I just got a Dr60 with a 400w lumatek turned down to 250watt and a 250 hps
Right now im just exhausting with a square muffin fan, and hanging the bulb straight down, no reflector. temps are 27c(80f) with closet door kinda shut but would like to shut it completely. It reaches 29c (84f) when shut.
My question is would a 4'' s&p work with a air cooled hood and carbon filter?
what should my fan cfm be around to cool and pull this much ducting?
Or is this just overkill and should I just get a fan and filter...
I am reluctant to just spend money cause I just spent 400 on the tent and light setup, but I will most likely grow into a dr80 in a year or two (reason for the 400 ballast) and getting a good setup now will pay off later...
Im thinking of getting an air cooled hood and a s&p fan tomorrow, does anyone have a brand they like that fits inside a dr60 with some room for ducting?
Any help will be appreciated as I will most likely show up at the grow shop totally forgetting all the research I did, or it just gets all mixed up, damn stoner

didnt find this thread/forum till yesterday
i kept saying there should be..... or i am going to start one
turns out the shop guy i bought from didnt know what he was talking about
i gave him my light setup and he said the fan he sold me would be perfect
hydrofarm FNB6 188 cfm 6"
i want to buy a 250 switchable MH/HPS
and use the proper hood/ducting to cool it
ill get another fan if need be, or a controller
needs
1. keep tent no more than 8 degrees above ambient 6 s ideal
2. use active intake so i can keep screens and ports sealed
dont need 100% light proof but as much as possible its in a guest room were people sleep while lights are on
3. eliminate some of the fans, i have three clip ons, the exhaust, and a window fan running its not loud i just dont want that many
i have been inspired with confidence know so many are running this setup already
there is a lot of conflicting info online
i called growlabs and the owner gabby or sumthing told me the exhaust fan is over sized and not to have any negative pressure and if i were to use an identical intake and exhaust fan that temps wouldn't be an issue, this after i spent two weeks choking the intakes to create negative pressure, it helped a little
anyway please help me get my stuff together
