All I know is that $90 is a lot for non-photo ID.
I also know that 3/5 of my patients that sent in their paper work in NOVEMBER, have yet to recieve their cards.
If 300 are sent out daily, and 1,000 come in daily, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that some people will NOT get their card until it has been legalized. Then what did you pay the money for?
Feeling a little safer at night. Keyword little.
The clock starts ticking on your $90 the day they print your card. The law, which nobody has ever ever actually read, says that they have 35 days to verify your application or turn you down. If they do not, you are assumed good.
So what is wrong with getting 16, 18, 20 months for a 1 year $90 fee?
The state is the one losing out on revenue in the sense that they should be getting $90 per year, not $90 per year and a half. IMHO. -CR
