Only if you build them yourself or buy direct.:blowbubbles:

If you dont jump on the led train right now and wait it out, the prices will drop.
Remember when puters used to cost lots of money?

Leds are going to be replacing just about everything we use other lighting for, so there will be a lot of attention and with attention come competition.

But if you have the money why not enjoy the benefits early!

Good luck.

Even if you do build them yourself, a lot of people end up putting similar amounts of money into it, compared to the retail cost on our panels. I believe it was SupraSPL who built his own panel using 1W LED's, and in the end it cost real close to our 126W light. It had half the spectral variety, no casing, and no warranty, but he still did it himself, and I think he did a pretty good job personally.

The old saying "you get what you pay for" applies 100% to LED's. If you want the stuff lacking development, buy what eBay has to offer. If you want stuff developed by plant specialists specifically for your crops, you come to companies like us.

What you need to understand about our lights is that they are nowhere near the same cost as your standard eBay UFO. We literally pay almost DOUBLE for our units watt for watt, because of the complex spectral outputs, larger panels, and custom lenses we use. I could build 120W grow lights all day for a lot cheaper, if we built them like the ones on eBay, but we're all about performance, not being cheap. We're the "top of the line" light, not a bargain basement brand, and because of this our lights cost a lot more to produce.

We have a HIGH COST of doing business, and therefore profits need to be made. Look at other companies and see how much they actually give you, or how much development they actually do. Just a few months ago we announced our 205W and 345W lights with a new square panel that no one else in the world has. In 1 week our vertical growing light goes on sale, which again is a world's first and only. We are at the fore-front of pioneering new panels for consumers, based on the input we receive via our forums. Each new panel costs us roughly $10,000 just to make the casing, not even to produce the first unit, so we're not just sticking this money into our pockets, it's going towards developing new and better products for you, the consumer. We have another light planned after our vertical, that will again revolutionize the industry, but it takes more money to build it.

We pay for advertising on forums like this, give away THOUSANDS in free lights for independent grow tests, and are now doing trade shows and magazine ads which cost a LOT of money. It also costs us money to accept your payments via paypal or credit card, and on a 126W light we generally pay about $15 just to receive your money. Each light also costs us around $85 to ship, meaning that we're really only receiving $375 per light.

When you compare our prices against our ACTUAL competitors, you'll find we are very reasonable. ProSource recently dropped their price a little due to their poor performance against our own lights, but look at companies like Growl LED, HID Hut, Procyon, Theoreme Innovations, Lumigrow, and others. They ALL charge you MORE per watt than we do, and NONE OF THEM perform like our light. The pricing is what it is for now, as we have major marketing campaigns to run, and more development to do. I have a feeling that within a few months our advertising dollars will have paid of substantially in the magazines, increasing our sales to a level where we can afford to drop our prices a little, while still continuing to progress LED technology for all of you.

We have (4) 1st generation 126W units available for $375 shipped. In about a month we should have 6-9 refurbished 126W units for sale as well. So there are ways of getting a cheaper light (like a return customer discount), it just depends on what you want. ;)

Mostly 1st gens, although there might be one or two second gens, I can't remember. We've only had 8 defective lights that needed replacing the whole time we've been in business, so we don't often have lights at a discount. When we do, they tend to go quite quickly :) They also come with a pro-rated warranty, all with at least 2 years left. They just got shipped back to China to get rebuilt, so they're still a few weeks away.

I'm not sure yet on the price for the refurbed models. I'll have to wait until I get them back to see.

As per the seed question, I don't know of anything I could refer you to aside from maybe an autoflower run where someone did 12/12 the whole way? I use 24 hour light for the veg stage...

Awhile back there was talk of discounts for repeat customers, not 100% if that came to be or was just hear-say

There is a small discount for repeat customers ;) All you have to do is ask when you call in, and we'll either give you the coupon code or apply it for you. :tiphat:
