well lets see im planning a sog grow with an ebb and flow table 2.7m x 1.2m under 4 600s. agh and ill be growin kindu kush and big blue if ive left anything out ud like to know just ask cos im as new to theses forums as u get cheers for ur time.

I think these days most if not all hydro nutrients are pretty reliable. I have never been to fussy about nutrients and have used a lot of different kinds all with success. Even Proganics available from Bunnings.
Get yourself an EC meter so you know the exact nute levels in veg or bloom. Personally I don't bother with veg time, except for cloning and go straight onto bloom nutes on a 12/12 cycle. I do SOG, ebb/flow single cola style, 4 plants per sq/ft.
I start the clones at 1.5 EC and increase .1 EC each week until finish. These levels are on the high side so you may want to lower these levels until you know your strains can take it.

Whoops, sorry I missed the bit about 4 x 600W lamps. Your going to need a shit load of clones for SOG. True SOG is generally 4 clones per sq/ft. Under 4 x 600W you would need 144 clones A 600W lamps is good for a 3'x3' ebb/flow table which is what I have. I put in 36 clones.
Mind you I am thinking about trying a 1000W system just to see if there is any difference.

the amount of clones had me a little worried at first but the more i read.... sog seems to be the way to go so i started 7 babies of each strain and i hope half of those will be females (bloody well should be). the babies ive got goin on under half a dozen gro lux tubes, just the 36inch or whatever they are and when they get a little bigger ive got 2 220watt flouros ( t5 knockoffs) to put em under. the hardest part of it all is waiten.
oh yeah cheers for the advice on nutrients, its just the more u read some of the grows on here from the yanks they seem to have alot of products we dont get. so it just got me intersested in what aussies were using. as its allso been about 7 years since my last indoor grow(nft tank under 2 600s) i thought there may ave been new or different products on the seen........best way to find out is to ask.

Yep. get some mums going , train and top well. Might seem like a massacre for a while but you get a lot of clones.
A 600W globe is generally good for a 3' x 3' area, 1000W is 4' x 4'.

I have used plantastic, canna, thc grow and bloom, and several others. I now use house&garden because it works out to be the cheapest. It may seem like brands like plantastic are cheaper.... But u use a lot more per liter. I did the math.... H&g works out cheaper. Works well too...

Excess light will not hurt, you could grow some vegies in there as well.

Try Cyco Platinum nutrients, they are made in Australia and are excellent. Here is a place where you can buy them, cheaper than in a hydro store:
