Australian Strains, Old Weed Lineages Here In Aus?

hey all, i'm wondering if anyone can help me, i'm starting a search for some old australian weed. i'm wondering if anyone knows of anyone or anywhere one would be able to get their hands on some older strains, and know what they are, that have been in australia for a number of years. i've heard there may be a few old haze strains here. anyway if anyone has any info that'd help me at all please let me know!

From what I understand early colonists grew hemp in the area for paper and other things. This seed probably originated from Asia, India or Afghanistan. Don't know what the THC/CBD content of the females were.

You never know, there might still be remnant populations of the plant growing on a river somewhere. Go and have a look one day. Careful though cos you might come across a plot which is grown by people with other intentions.

My understanding was that the First Fleet called into India on the way over to pick up some hemp seed so they could make sails and rope in the new land but something got lost in the translation and instead of hemp seed for rope the Indians supplied them instead with excellent pot seed - and that is why it ended up in the Hunter valley growing wild - they quickly realised it was shit for rope and just let it run wild cos it was of no use to them - lol...

haha that's awesome! would be good if we could find/get out hands on some of the original stuff from the hunter valley, has that stuff got a strain name etc that's used today?

yeah that's effectively what i meant. i've heard a lot about people sending in freebies to seed bay and seed boutique and then getting a name for themselves so i'm definitely up for breeding them up and sending them into these guys (seed bay and boutique) for free. what's the safest way to do so from places like aus?
