KKxS - OG - SLH

Alright so this will be the home of my grow diary and logs, lets see if i can keep this updated.
Strains:
2x KKxS(kandy Kush x Skunk) [seed]
1x OG kush [clone]
3x SLH [seed]
+1 GHS Cheese[Clone] (added 10 days late)

(there are also smaller plants you will see in the first few pictures, ignore these)
Plant Layout:

KKxS1 - KKxS3 - SLH3
SLH4 - OG - SLH5


Light: 600 hps

Feed: Drip 6/9 GH with KoolBloom and also have some budcandy to play with.

Medium: Royal Gold coco mix

My main reason for this thread is so that I may easier keep track of my progress and get some helpful advice and hints.

Currently 25 days into flower so lets get the Show started.



Here we are at 4-5 weeks of veg. Plants have had some rough times moving to new homes.



First day of flower












A deficiency I have come across roughly 2 days ago in one of the SLH. Im thinking its N-defficient maybe PH was locking out nutes

Health Wise the OG has been stubborn, loosing many leaves underneath. I think it was either a mag or ph issue. It seems she pulled out of it but we will see.

Also the SLH5 is showing significant signs of N deficiency underneath but over healthy on top and is actually the frostiest slh out of the 3.

KKxS are both doing very healthy and seems to be ahead of the other plants

The feeding this last week has been a 6/9 mix with 1/2 strength koolbloom and 1/2 strength budcandy ph ~5.7

Well thats the plan

This is my 4th or 5th grow as all previous grows were on a small scale with unknown genetics and poor grow skills= crappy crop

Ive taken alot more time and patience with this grow along with ease of use in mind.

This is quite the never ending learning experience

Here are a few strains I have under development for the near future:

Gigabud
Dinafem White Widow
Himalayan Gold
GHS Cheese
g13 labs Purple Haze

If anyone has anything to say about these strains id like to hear it.
Ive sampled a small white widow plant and i know its gonna be a keeper. Cheese has been a struggle for me so far. Not so sure about the rest yet.

KKxS Has big fuzzy balls Im very curious about this strain

I am only feeding them once a day, every morning. It looks like they are hungry though and I need to find out if I am having a PH issue or improper feeding. The Budcandy, is making my rez froth up and it makes my ph swing up and im contemplating dropping it out of the equation for the moment and leave it to the Micro,Bloom, and KoolBloom combo.
Will 6/9 + (1/2 strength)koolbloom on pure R/O water provide enough Mg for the plants?

In order to keep the rez(5 gall) clean and plants healthy I decided to run just the micro/bloom/koolbloom mix. Ive noticed some minimal burning on all the leaf tips so we will see if this simpler nute mix will carry the plants through.

6/9 and 1/2 strength koolbloom dropped me in at ph: 5.7 ppm: 870

I have some Blue Cheese [blueberry x big buddha cheese] running right now and she is one of my favorite! Such big calyxes. Your plants are looking great man, and great choice of strains! I also have a White Widow running, frostiest girl in my garden. I dont know which cut it is though.. a really amazing one. Decent yielder, triangular shape calyxes that come up spear like, really bushy with lots of side branching. Good looking grow! Please feel free to check and comment on mine, link in signature! Day 28 for these babies, looking good.

The two identical phenos of SLH are frosty!
The Lankier SLH is actually filling out quite well and is still growing. I believe this to be the longer flowering pheno ? ( not to much trich yet)

The KKxS and OG are bulking up well.

Im not sure how Long the OG cut flowers for
I have one in dirt that's on day 60 right now looking pretty decent

Anyone have an idea how long the KKxS goes for(9 weeks?) Both look to be the same pheno

Ive got a question for you Coco heads out there.
Currently these plants are only in 2.38L 6" pots.
Ive heard roots can fill coco up way more thorough than soil but I'm not sure if I'm pushing it.

I'm unable to remove the plant from the pot to check but if any of you with previous experience can let me know. The mix is Royal Gold , its coco premixed with a bunch of goodies. Plants love it for Veg.

So after looking around and thinking about it some more, I'm gonna have to snag up some 1 or 2 gall containers when i get a chance.

Ill take trees over shrubs any day and cant wait to fire up the 1000's

Ive come to the conclusion that a measuring cup i haven been using was off by a tiny amount(5-8%) causing a slight underfeed.

Topped off the rez with 3 gall r/o;18ml micro 27ml grow and about only 15ml of koolbloom because the ppm were already higher given I used the proper measuring cup. Giving me a ph of 5.5 and 1060ppm


Maybe someone can help me point out this defficiency. At first i thought it was Mg def and i knew molasses had some in it so i mixed up 1tbsp of grandmas to 1gal of water and gave the hurting plants some juice. Now that i look at it, kinda looks like nute burn?

Seems to be fattening up.
Im not sure when to cut off Nitrogen yet. Im afraid some of the more indica phenos will be ready up to a week or 2 before the others so im slowly tappering it off
Just fed plants with a 4/9 + 5ml koolbloom + a splash of Budcandy ph 5.7 ppm resting around 1000

I think I might have let off the Micro too early, I still have 2 weeks left to flush but the OG kush has almost lost all her fans already.

At this point, day 55, do you think i should continue feeding 15ml bloom/gall(720ppm) or start flushing? trichs dont look nearly cloudy on any of the plants yet but the fan leaves are all being depleated of nutes

Ive also read that the SLH (sativa leaning pheno) can go easily up to 11 weeks, so it may stay behind a week longer, I can see how this pheno could get some massive colas given the right conditions.


These plants are in 2.7L round pots... I have some 3 Gal pots ready for the next round. It will be nice to see how much of a difference all the extra root space will give me.

currently, all the pots added together equal no more than 4 gallons rootspace, next run will be getting roughly 4-5x the space, it would be nice to see an equal increase in yield =p
