Strains for RLS?

I always seem to get a bout of RLS right before sleep, couple that with a bit of insomnia. What sort of strain through a vape is my best bet?

Thanks!

OK, here is the thing, there is no RLS, it is a made up syndrome big pharma created to use a drug that didn't work for what it was intended. So, drugs and or weed ain't the answer.

What you have is muscle issues of one type or another, doesn't matter really, because it is easily resolved. Pay attention, this is technical. Get up and take a fucking walk, stretch, move, dance, or fuck, and your bloody legs will be fine, and you will sleep better.

That was kind of a jerky response on Haps' part...

...RLS is, to the best of my knowledge, a minor movement disorder, similar to many affectations of the simple nervous system. As such, I'd say any physically relaxing variety would be a good bet. Some of the classic indicas would probably suffice.

Afghani and any of it's relatives. Bubba Kush would be a good one to look at. At any rate, I'd stay away from the Sativas, as they're more likely to exacerbate the problem.

I'd say puff on a good indica about an hour before bed, enough to get you nicely stoned. After that hr, the initial "rush" of the high will have worn off, mellowing into the relaxing indica buzz. Don't overdo it, though, or you'll be groggy the next day.

Hope this helps.

Haps, lots of people really suffer from RLS,physically and mentally. MW

hmm i sort of agree with haps, but maybe more politely. I have RLS pretty bad, but just because i have jittery legs doesnt mean i have a disease. yes there are probably genes AND environment responsible for the condition, but the solution should DEFINATELY NOT be pharmaceutical drugs, its not a sickness just a condition. the best solution to the condition IS exercise.

I know a woman who is clinically diagnosed with RLS and the only thing that helps is mmj. She currently smokes g13haze for it, but I'll be giving her a few different strains to test in a few months.

I understand folks have muscle twitches, spasms, and tremors, and they are quite real, and discomforting, I have this myself, for me, movement does the trick.

Now to my point, this is a made up syndome. Do you really think pharma said, forget cancer, aids, diabetes, heart disease, and lets focus on a drug to help folks with twitchy legs? Did rls exist a century ago? I'm from the farm, I don't have to step in a pile to know it's a pile.

Is this woman elderly? overweight? lazy? if she's not one of these, she might also benefit from excercise. i'm not saying getting stoned wont relax you, but there are a lot of things that people get medicine of all different sorts for that can be easily cured with excercise and/or diet. Just because herb is "natural" and not created by the pharma industry, doesnt mean its always the best cure for everything, even if it does work.

You mean before the advent of electricity~~~
lots of things didnt really exist a century ago~ things have been changing~ lots of heat light and fire~ G13 and some strong sativas work for the RLS~ I do a lot and there is an activation of nervous systems around light- to avoid this staying away from blue spectrum light or any light towards the evenings- i do leg crunches- bout a hundred per side and i feel relaxed again - bad nights get a few sets per leg- its just extra energy if one wants to potentiate it~~~ and has the inner strength to- ADHD (growdoc) and mango haze (shanti) seem to do the trick for this- as well as blueberry~~~ :)

Good Luck~~~ Acetocholine seems to be involved in this- with some mediation through epinephrine (nor)- dopamine- and serotonin - it's one of those things- that it seems mosty people i know have- we cant seem to sleep- yet do- and kick a lot while we rest/ sleep.
Yes, a made up name for a pretty uncomforting issue- if not dealt with
kinesthia ant a- kinesthia methinks they may have been referred to formerly
calcium
mg
and B vitamins
seem to help

bananas
tomatoes
and getting eight hours or so of darkness

~ serotonins precursor melatonin is created during dark periods and could regulate the process we mention here- through down regulation of epi and nor-epi- also dopa- ~

cheers

Well, if it helps, I'm a pretty active person and not overweight at all. It just so happens that on some nights as I'm trying to fall asleep a certain leg will require that I move it, it won't twitch on its own. I don't take pharmaceutical drugs for it, or anything else, but I do remember having this issue back before there were ever RLS commercials on tv.

I'll scope out some G13 crosses, thanks guys

I suffer from RLS. Generally the only smoke that helps me is a strong indica like black domina.

High strength chelated Magnesium and Zinc supplements work amazingly well though and stop the jiggles in 10 mins or so.
