green-o-matic and Mi5 Outdoor Question

hi, i currently have some green-o-matic fem and Mi5 fem seeds on the way with a bag of kelp meal to finish off my lc soiless mix #1 with Recipe #1 blood,bone,kelp,greensand. I plan on starting these indoor for a week or so and then outside they go in 5 gallon buckets. some will go in the woods where there is sun spots and outlining of feild blending in with tall weeds.. does this sound ok? do i need any other ferts to help with yeild. I have no idea on the green o matic yeild average due to lack of growers logs, but have heard the Mi5 averages 2 oz outdoor and is pretty strong.

Sounds like a simple way of growing , I've had good results with similar methods , two things to add , let your soil mix "cook"for at least three weeks prior to planting, this will eliminate many ph and nutrient availablity problems. 5 gallons is real too much soil for 60 day autos- i would use 3 gallon pains or put 2 or three stems per bucket. Another good trick is to fill the bottom of the 5 Gal pail with coarse coco( The stuff sold as mulch and a bit of pea gravel- this will give you lots of air for your roots and the coco holds alot of moisture too . Tall weeds are great camo but if yo have slugs or snails in your area make sure none of them touch you buckets a two or three inch smear of vaseline around the edges of yor pails and some diatomaceous earth on top of your soil will help deter these pests as well.

from what i hear Mi5 is not a 60 day auto, i hear it can go for 16 weeks outdoor, i plan on using smaller pots for the green o matics, but i hear 5 gallons are good for the mi5. also my soil wont be able to sit for that long but it will be sittng until my seeds arive and after some germ and brief veg time indoor. i found a good spot in the woods, hard to walk to but its open sun spot with lots of weeds from neglection. I may also deer trap the buckets with chicken wire.


Thanks for the Help, its my first outdoor guerrilla, and i would love to share the grow once its up and going, also can someone please what the average time for the Mi5 seed to bud life span? i am hearing these are longer to flower outdoors. Also hows the yeild? im looking to do as much as i can before it gets cold again, btw grow is in southern georgia

mine took 60-90 days. depends on pheno and what type of high. I found the speedy/rush/paranoid high you get from Mi5 with less than 20% amber is not an experiance i enjoyed. however leave them to amber up and you will be laying on the floor wondering how yku got there.
I cant give you precise times but watching my autos in the greenhouse I can see they will take atleast 2 weeks longer than indoors, with some (including my monster Mi5) possibly an extra 4 weeks.

this will all variey depending on your location, hours of light and temps.

I grew MI5 outdoors last year. They took about 14-15 weeks to finish but I started them late and the nights were getting real cool as they were finishing. I'm sure that slowed them down. They do take about a week longer in veg than other autos, plus two of mine were "topped" when my goats nipped the top stems off. That added another week to veg while they recovered. The one untopped plant finished at 30" tall and yielded 2 ounces. The other two were a little smaller but more bushy due to the topping. They both yielded just under 2 ounces. The smell is pretty potent. If the wind was calm I could usually smell them about 40' or more away. I also agree with Dargo, let the trics get at least 20% or more amber before you harvest. I pinched a bud when they were just cloudy to test it. While still good the high was much better balanced with the amber trics. My Mrs. calls MI5 amnesia weed. If she smokes a little too much she doesn't remember much the next day. Great smoke, some of best I've ever grown.

im looking forward to the grow, i live in ga and they have helicopter crews so in 5 gallon buckets what would be a good way to keep em under the radar?? i have 10 fem g-o-m seeds(3 gallon) and 5 fem Mi5 (5 gallon) seeds on the way and im plantin them all and when i get more moolah im ordering some Iranian autos. btw im about 300-350 ft away from any houses for smell purposes.

Harvest before they start flying. That's the beauty of autos.

I'm not sure how aware the fly over crews are of autos. I think they are mostly looking for full sized plants. A few autos spread around in different locations probably won't get their attention.
