I have a Bubba Kush plant that was picked up from the club that has been flowering for about two to three weeks nows. Planted in Roots Organic soil and only feed water and Open Sesame at the moment, i foliar applied Aquashield once.

Im getting browning spots on leaves and tips what do you think has led to this?

how well does your soil drain? do you have "wet-feet" ?

how good is your ventilation? temps? humidity?

could be over-watering and slow draining soil.

I see you have a tray under the pot, hopefully you don't let water seat there...

do they get enough light too?

good luck

from what i was reading up in my books and the diy-o-rama link to sick plants it looks similar to a cal or mag deficiency.

My setup is a little smaller then i would like but for ventilation purposes it goes like this:

2x2x5'3 Growlab GL60
Air is being pulled through a 4in Elf carbon scrubber, continues through air-cooled Xtrasun 21"x19.25 Hood containing a 400w hps and out the top through the 4in Centrifugal 160cfm fan thats has a speedster hooked up to it but stays on high all pretty much all the time. 4inch Inline duct fan as an intake on one side of the bottom and on the other a PC fan for a little extra breeze. Theres clip on air king inside.

I wanted to continue to feed them Open Sesame (5-45-19) until my shipment of SensiBloom comes in and flush them and switch to that but, do you think i should switch them up the Beastie Bloomz (0-50-30) sooner then i wanted/never wanted to do?

Every time my plants have looked like that it has been due to PH being off. Have you checked. Remember PH problems usually start off looking like a cal/mag deficiency. Peace

If you are looking for an organic treatment.

Some kelp made into liquid mixed with a little molasses. Top dress with fresh clean organic soil to restart your microbe populations.

Next time do not let it get so rootbound. Use a larger container. I would never flower a bubba of that size in anything less than a 5 gallon.

Do not water so much. Wait till the medium is fairly dry. Do the lift test so you know weights of wet vs dry.

Do not apply weird foliars. Straight water or kelp. I believe it is chicken litter in aquashield.

Get a new medium. Roots .organics is heavy and in general absolute crap probably the worst medium I have put plants in with fox farms ocean forest running a close 2nd. Before yall jump on my nuts I used em both for entire grows next to other mediums.

The bush as i got it from the club was in an even smaller container, and was moved to these white pots until my smartpot order comes in at the local hydro. I wish i had a whole room to be growing in and space is limited, a 5 gal pot would take up most of the room in my tent, remember this is extremely small 2ftx2ft. She's being transplanted into a 3gal smart pot today after class and im bringing another Master Kush plant into the tent that has been vegging separately.

I have a decent lineup of nutrients at my disposal that ill post later tonight but i dont think anything that is beneficial for this problem. Im trying to spend little to nothing but what should i add in to correct this problem, any suggestions on possible Botanicare CAL-MAG plus?

"This can be quickly resolved by watering with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts/gallon of water. Until you can correct nutrient lockout, try foliar feeding. That way the plants get all the nitrogen and Mg they need. The plants can be foliar feed at ½ teaspoon/quart of Epsom salts (first powdered and dissolved in some hot water). When mixing up soil, use 2 teaspoon dolomite lime per gallon of soil."

I feel questionable about mixing a tablespoon of salt to a gallon of water and feed them, what do you think? Add it with my fertilizer?

I believe that my problem has been that i have been using straight R/O water. When i stopped by the store today i was trying to decide if i should pick up some seaweed extract for $8 or drop $20 on CAL-MAG Plus.

I was told that instead i should start using half tap half r/o and let it sit out to dechlorinate like i would with my fishtank when i change its res.

I transplanted the big girl into a 3 gal Smartpot and flushed both of them with 1tsp/Gal of Florakleen. Their draining in the shower right now, hopefully after a day or two ill figure out it i should grab some CAL-MAG or not.

Any suggestions on what i should start feeding these guys i currently have the following in my lineup of nutrients:

Grotek: Final Flush Pina Colada
Foxfarms: Open Sesame, Beasite Bloomz, Cha-Ching (purchased all three for $10)
Stealth Hydro: Grow, Bloom, Ph-up, Ph-down
AdvNut: SensiGrow, (waiting for SensiBloom between Mon-Wed of next week)
HCO: Purple Maxx, Gravity, Snowstorm
Hygrozyme
GH: Floranectar, Florakleen
Botanicare: Silica Blast, Aquashield

Anyone want to help me out with a feeding schedule I was thinking one feeding of Hygrozyme then continuing with Open Sesame until i receive my SensiBloom and flush and switch to that. Should i mix in my Silica Blast at all to "help plants flourish in extreme enviorments" with my nutrient feeding or on their day of with straight water.
