Random Question regarding Resin on pollinated plants vs non-pollinated

A lot of growers I've talked to say that people just don't want seedy bud because seeds within seedy bud can take up a large portion of the buds weight....

While other growers I've talked to say that when a plant starts producing seeds, resin production is greatly limited...

Now.......

I've smoked shitty bud with lots of seeds. But some of the dankest bud I've ever smoked has had lots of seeds in it.

Which is the answer to this question? Is seedy bud less potent? Or do people just dislike seeds within bud when they buy it because it takes up a portion of the buds weight(well I know this part is true, but what about the first part)?

IMO, if the plant is spending resources on growing seed, it aint creating resin. The natural purpose of the resins is/was to ward off animals from grazing. The plant needs the animals to consume seed, therefore resin production slows so as to NOT ward off animals when seed is mature.
So therefore is the bud not only less potent(still may be somewhat potent depending on the strain) but most(or at least more than would be if it were sensimilla, aka seedless) of the weight is seed.

Then what do you have to say about all the killer bud I've smoked with tons of seeds in it ?

If anything, more resin would be produced to FEND off animals so the babies(seeds) don't get destroyed, but I doubt this lol.

i have found seeded but to be way less potent and resinous (and enjoyable) when complared to nonseeded/sensi buds. for me it has nothing to do with 'weight'

from what i understand, female plants secrete resins to attract pollen... they swell and plump up to attract pollen... when pollen is introduced they no longer put forth enrgy into attracting pollen and instread focus energies on creating seeds. thus they stop producing resin.

i recently had a couple of plants get fully pollinated and prodcue 2000+ seeds.... one of them (rasberry kush) ive been growing for a year (maybe more) and am very familiar with how she grows and what to expect aroma/resin/taste/potency wise.... the fully seeded rasberry kush plant ended up being 75g of the worst bud ever. once i sorted the seeds (which will be making their way to to the bay soon) i turned the bunk buds into primo BHO.... thats the only thing that made the buds salvagable imo.

i personally think seeded bud tastes differently (aka WORSE) than sensimella buds. they dont burn as nice they arent as resinous or aromatic....

you probably havent smoked sensimella buds from the same plant then....

Hm....well seed weight matters when you go to buy a pound and about 1/4 of that turns to be seeds lol.

Am very familiar with a particular clone and have seeded it many times , a small plant gives around 500 mature seed if lightly dusted and a half ounce of some really tasty , more couchlock trim on the screen.
Fully seeded means 1000+ seeds and little worth smokeing with much woody material at 90 days with a 55 day clone.

Couple of local oldboys like to stuff their annoyingly large pipes with it ,

possibly because its free.

From what I have read, the seeds are indigestible cellulose and pass through the digestive tract and end up in a great big pile of......fertilizer...hmm funny how mother nature works aint it?

I was being sarcastic with more resin coming from more seeds.... but I remember back in biology a few years ago, we learned that the bud(on any budding plant not just cannabis) was produced to protect seeds. Meaning, more bud = more seed protection. Though I'm doubt the plant cares about how much bud it has.
