Mother Plants and size limits

I have a small veg cab that is about 22 inches tall and a few nice looking plants in it. They almost at max size for the cabinet and I am wondering if it is possible to keep these plants sized to fit this space?

So far they are at 5 weeks of veg growth with no topping or training. Is it to late to late to LST these plants or can I just bend them over now? They are in 3 gallon pots but now I am wondering if I should have just left them in my one gallon. The strain is DNA Sleestack x Skunk

LOL sorry for the cat liter box picture.

Here are a few pics of the cab and plants:

Top 'em,I do it a week into flower sometimes.
If you are going to bend them,do it a little at a time once a day. As strong as cannabis is,it still breaks.

Yeah i should of started the training earlier, I might just top them and try to clone the cuts. I have a few in there already as it is.

When working in height restricted spaces I let my mothers grow to about 6 nodes and then top them. But not at the top, just above the second node from the base of the meristem. Moving up from the soil level, skip the cotedylon node, then you have the first node, above that is the second node and I cut just above that. That way the first node and second node branches will grow out and give you a nice bushy 4 cola mother. You can take that chopped off top and stick it in some soil and clone it as well. So no waste involved!

Also I don't keep mothers long (I guess technically they aren't mothers then). I snag a clone from them and make new mothers from the clones; I then flowering the mothers, they produce nicely with 4 cola's. You can get way more tops then 4 through other methods but my purpose is to keep them short.

Just my 2 cents.

Yes, I top them usually the same way you do. Don't know why I didn't on these. lol Those Trainwreck I have going were topped just above the third node.

Thanks.

Yeah I actually got it from a remodeled kitchen I worked on, nice wall cab for free, just added a bathroom light bar, a small 4" radio shack AC powered fan and cut two holes in the side for passive intake. I am working on putting a little homemade scrubber on the top and I really don't need to light proof it as it's in a different area then my flower closet.

Your photos make me real comfy comrade. I love the bushy, stout, phat, christmas tree look of your plants, sitting on that lovely carpet. Real chillaxed cozy vibes.

thats a great article treefrog. i was nervous trimming the rootball on my first one, but once i saw how fast those roots come back, oh yeah!!

staff, i found bonsai training wire at a local bonsai nursery. really fun stuff, you can wrap the branch slowly and after awile it's up to your imagination on what the plant will look like. the wire was a thin guage anodized aluminum.

You gotta understand I got nothing but very dirty tilefloors. It has its perks but your floor would get a hug from me if I were sittin there. I'm really beginning to think grass would make the perfect floor.
