yes sire, for some stupid reason i cant rip it up for not but i WILL get it out soon :D

I just threw HardiBacker on the floor and then glued a tarp to that silver side up. The shitty carpet is still in the Dungeon and Upgrade room but it is under the tarp and firm floor ;)

Your system looks really sweet! I've used cinder blocks for years ;)

Here is some cool help for getting you a few days away:
Buy a 44gal brute. Install hose and stop valve at bottom of brute (we are making an auto top off 44gal pre-mix). Place brute on cinder blocks attach brute to your blue res, using a float valve set at the desired level in the res.

Now you have 40gals or so pre-mixed and ready to feed your plants as you take a day or two off. Since you have 8 plants I would say 40gals will last 3 or 4 days. It is nice to get away for the weekend and not need anyone to mess with or water your plants ;)

Subscribin'.

I am running very similar Teresa bucket style and it works great. I am converting to ebb/gro buckets with perlite lit vertically the same way as you, 8 plants same count. Our systems will look identical except for my res being outside the grow room and my buckets can rest on the ground.

You could put several layers of pond liner on the floor. Makes sure you bring the edges up the wall 4" or so to create a pool.

I've been thinking of that for a while now, i have to buy the heavy duty one because the one they sell at HD is a joke, rip very very easy. :D thanks for the idea

Tight as hell redspaghetti! Just wanted to let you know. I'll be watching this one for sure.

What strains are you choosing from?
 Dk
thanks for the kind words m8

Im thinking SSSDH

Thats a great idea bother, around here they sell the brutes for around 30 something bucks, I was thinking of using the veg room i have right ( i will move it to the garage ) and use that room to run RDWC with brutes.

But yes that rez idea and the float valve is genius :thank you::tiphat:

very nice Red!! each set up gets better and better, what are you gonna run in this system?

haha thanks unc, no more bathroom stall,. well i lie i still have some ladies in the stalll hehe

Im thinking of SSSDH, gonna get a confirm sometime this week

very cool m8, thanks for stopping by,
do you have any pics ? i would love to see hehe

They grow quick! I vegged for 20 days, shots 1-2 are at transplant, the others are at flip. I had to trim about 2/3'ds of the growth off because it would have been shaded.

Hindsight- Vertical lighting, 3 less plants and the same veg would have probably been better use of light/more efficient. We shall see, I decided to lower my plant counts to legal territory without going bare bulb.. this will yield 25% better than my previous 36 plant SOG, but it will take an extra 25 days to do it.

I will not thread hijack though. :)

Looks like your on the road to success so don't settle for less.
I will definitely pull up a chair, roll up a phatty, make some popcorn and be checking in on the regular. Quick Question: I noticed you don't have reflectors on your bulbs... this might be a dumb question but Why is that? is that what makes your grow "vertical"? What are the advantages/disadvantages to that? thanks again. I'll be watching

hey thanks for the good words m8

Yes, by placing the bulb vertical with out hood meaning you are growing vertically.

The advantage of vertical is you are using the whole bulb ( 360 spread ) instead of a hood only half. You will notice the increase in yield instantly, and the more you dial the system the better it gets ;) For anyone that have enough power to cool these them, vertical is the way to go!

WOOOOOOOOooooo!!!! You rock!!!!!!

:D thanks bull

Awesome! I can't wait to see this setup in action. I've always had a soft spot for perlite as well. Long live hempy buckets! I'm curious to know how much water will be saved versus a traditional RDWC design.

thats looking really nice. I love your efforts on the electrical distribution. I also like how people are slowly moving over to a sort of hybrid side lighting/vertical setup, it makes all kinds of sense to concentrate on the sides of plants and not the tops given the space limitations that we all deal with growing inside. As mentioned, are you going to put down some plastic sheets? Even if you dont spill, all the debris is gonna be a mess on that carpet :)

great work

+1 for clean mechanicals.

Where did you get the huge perlite?

thanks for the kind words m8, one of the store around here sell a bag that will fill up five of the 5 gal buckets for about 20 bucks.

Looking good.
thanks m8 :huggg:

thanks for stoppin by
