A harsh lesson - don't drown your seeds :(

After having issues with paper towels damaging my roots I switched to coffee filters, just in ziploc bags to lock in moisture. If after four or five days they still haven't popped taproots I'll let them go the rest of the way in a shot glass. My seeds usually go onto lightly packed FFOF in 4" pots with another half inch of soil spread on them lightly before I water. Keeps them from dropping much and makes sure they get air.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for another load of different methods for that which nature has provided a tried and tested over millions of years of plant evolution.

I have a low germination ratio for my seeds planted - however; Some of those seeds are only a couple of days in my mix. I am so excited to see those little fuckers pop their husks and leaves.

I am glad while I go because I wouldn't have any experience if I continued down the path of imagination. I have spent too many years imagining my grows.. At least now I have some bag seeds, looking great.. and a few little baby seedlings of killer strains.

Can't wait until my schedule is on the ball. I want one area for moms, one for new strain seedlings, and of course my budding area. It would appear to be a tremendous amount of hydro to learn with - but I am using a lot of CFL's for veg and seedling.. I have a 400W MH for starters on my serious Veg - and will get an HPS when it's time to flower. I plan to let my babies mature in excess though.. I want trees.

I will however be cloning some smoke = so no more paying over prices for sometimes mediocre pot. Even my bagseed plants (3 at this point) look tremendous. They have given, and are still giving me so much experience with different growing methods. One of them looks so friggen pretty & seems to be showing serious pre-flowering female phono's.

I am going to be here for the long haul & I really appreciate anyone how takes time to read my rants. I also look forward to learning from the pro's on this awesome site *now my homepage*.

My Desktop is now an awesome looking Zombie Virus Cola, coated with a frost of Trichs, and showing mad purple and orange.. So glad to have some of those babies sprouted.

I must amend my original note after a quick glance of the new "Proposed Minimum Sentences" regarding MJ Cultivation. I believe that regardless of my previous posting - I still would like to make just a few $'s from pot - however; more important to me is the ability to not have to have money to be medicated. My Mom has MS and is not rich; She shouldn't suffer when a simple flower I can grow can alleviate her symptoms. Invariable the medicine will add health and years to her life; considering, she would have appetite and eat a proper balanced diet. We are all so concerned about the Nutes, and the "Every little thing" a MJ plant need for HEALTH.

Ironically MJ sustains Health for human beings who suffer. Why, in out "so-called" humaine country would our government - who speaks on the behalf of our society (the voting portion, which is not much at all).

It is immoral and can be noted as Criminal in it's most pure form and definition. I say the laws that prohibit the use of medicinal use are Criminal. I believe that the bureaucracies that prevent; delay and scrutinize the legitimate use of MJ as medicine are Criminal. I am dancing around the point of this paragraph and my much needed avenue of venting my frustration with the Government, and the importance to recognize what Government truly is: a representation of the general population. NOT the representation of those who are financially rewarded to place their votes.

This of course takes a catch 22 paradox. Those people who have the power to vote - due to a lack of confidence in all the parties from which we have to choose. I ask you - If no-one is speaking the truth in Your ideology how can you possible place a vote. I personally don't think that I should be voting for a 30% representative. To elaborate; I shouldn't give someone a vote if they are only 33% of my beliefs, values and hopes for how I want my community. Of course for a candidate to hold 100% true is asking for a Utopia. I only want to hear from the millions of people who are not voting who share my beliefs, values and common sense.

Our Democracy in Canada has failed as a direct result of a tired and Apathetic population of the demographics of almost half or more. If I had to guess - I would think that anyone younger than 40 is not voting. Retrospectively; that is a HUGE proportion of our population who have a vote of NO CONFIDENCE. These are citizens who have grown up watching their apathetic parents hopelessness & are becoming the age of adulthood. These young adults are ready to take the responsibility of showing who our country is; unfortunately, through their families and friends the terrible burden of generational apathy has nurtured this young man or woman.

I apologize in advance to those who feel as though I went on a rampage of my view here - I just feel that this is Important. For everyone - those who consider this information as common knowledge right to those who believe it's a revolutionary change in attitude. Just as long as people consider the idea. I ask for nothing more from you (right now). I only ask that you give your confidence in Your government and your vote. Your vote is a lot of responsiblity, power and it ultimately dictates the world that you live in.

We are not an oppressed society according to what people are will to change. Otherwise the government is looking for any arbitrary miniscule point they may completely suck the life from. In this case it's a war on drugs; and more importantly *imo*; I think were too concerned with our trade with the US. Until the US lightens up and Lights up - Canada will be in pace with their current regimes belief systems regarding cannabis product.

This is why I beg you as people who have the power to vote here in our country. The land of the brave, true and free. We are Canadian! Show people our flag - it's the Green One.

We could sustain so much energy from massive Hemp operations - and cure the sick. Isn't that a little Utiopia?
