Using vinyl covers for cleaning pot?

Hehe, I had to pull out Fragile by Yes the other day due to some seedy herb. Use a fold out double type album, just place the album in your lap, put the herb on one half of the inside cover and use a card to sort of lift the herb to let the seeds roll down to the crease.
That's kinda what I am doing now, but the album thing sounds a lot more fun, and if for nothing else, you are using vinyl covers which is awesome in itself...
I was born in the wrong decade, living in the wrong millinnum...
Bumble Buddy: I'll try it out, although I'm not sure I fully understand the process yet, perhaps when I try it myself its more clear!

Just try it, you'll get it. Just like BB said...get an album cover that opens like a double album and sit it on your lap or a table and incline the half that is away from you, put the weed on that inclined part and use a card to pick up some and pour it back onto the cover. The seeds will roll down to the crease. Practice makes perfect! Works great...I still do it that way.
In the old days I would always let a little weed roll down too and I kept all of my seeds in a container of some sort and when times were tuff I could sift back thru my seeds and find some herb to smoke. In really tuff times I would clean my pipes and smoke the resin. We even sifted bong water with paper towels, let it dry out and shake/scrape the stuff off of the paper towel and have something to smoke. Didn’t taste too good, but got the job done! FYI…the bong was a one hit bowl, so some un burned weed always ended up in the water…
There I go chasing rabbit trails again…getting totally off subject…lmao

It wasn't any old album, it was a Hessian covered album that would hold any greenery but allow seeds to roll down, I don't recall the album but my husband made a seed cleaner based on the same Hessian, I still use it, give me 2 mins and I will grab a snap, you will see the texture that allows this cleaning. Great reminder thanks for the memory.

my favorite for cleaning super seedy shake is a shoebox lid and a library card. just pour it in, tilt and scoop. The nice lip will hold all the beans. It is kinda funny newer potheads never really have to deal with seeds. All I used to smoke was big old joints of shake.

I got all misty-eyed and nostalgic reading your post.
De-seeding your weed on fave album - the album playin' while you used the cover. Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, King Crimson.
Matchboxes full of seeds, film canisters later.
Saved roaches same way - make a 20 or 30 roach joint, and kick a smoking circle of 5 or 6 into zombie-ville.
I used to give away 100's of seeds at a time - I always had extras lying around. JohnnyWeedseed.
I ate the lumber too - nothing went to waste.
Early 70's were good weed times - everyone at a party had a 1/2 oz or more - I learned to roll joints then, still am the best roller of anyone I know.

Ontario...I'm with ya bro...HA! Film cannisters rocked. For the younger folk, film cannisters are the little plastic cannisters that 35mm camera film comes in. Usually black with a gray lid. They are great for keeping/toting small amounts of weed. I still have a few.
We use to smoke a lot of joints! I could roll one while driving. I can still roll a perfect joint every time. We smoked a lot of leaf or shake back in the day. Contrary to popular belief these days, it will get the job done. I remember one time I bought a 1/4 pound of "home grown" it had a real green taste and none of my friends liked it so I smoked pretty much the whole thing myself. I remember I was rebuilding the front suspension on my 69 Chevelle at the time...man I wish I still had that car!!

Apparently that's common stoner sense. Never heard of it before, but I came up with it myself, generations later.
I love these stories, I got some 70s' weed, its not very strong, very green taste and full of seeds. I still love it!
Fun-fact: even my friends who normally gets totally paranoid (from 2-3 tokes) with heartbeat going up and trouble breathing, can't "OD" on my 70s' weed, they just get totally stoned, but never bad sideeffects...

^^ Oh, I LOVE to roll. And would rather smoke joints than any other way.
I also used shoe box lids, but actually preferred a big Whammo Frisbee. The seeds would catch in the curled lip part. We'd just throw our baggie, papers and matches in the frisbee and slide it under the couch.
