Who has got the best version of White Rhino?

I used to have a connection that grew White Rhino and it to this day has been the best strain that I've encountered for dealing with insomnia. A couple of hits and within 30 minutes I was sleeping, sadly that plant is long gone.

I'm wanting to get it again for myself but I'm not sure which White Rhino to get and from whom? There are about three sources that I know that sell a version of it.

Greenhouse Seeds
Nirvana Seeds
Mr. Nice Seeds - theirs is called Medicine Man

Has anyone grown one or more these? What did you think of it? If you have grown it or sampled more then one breeder’s version which of them which was better?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I've smoked the MNS Medicine Man and Nirvana WR, but haven't grown either.

MNS was the superior smoke.

Haven't tried Greenhouse, can't comment on it

I have a friend who swears by Nirvana's WR... i like the nugs as well, dense, hashy, lovely taste, and killer stone, but it does get boring if you smoke too much. for that he keeps a nice sweet skunk mother gifted by me.

out of a 10 pack of seeds, he found multiple pheno's and after flowering and smoking, he chose his favorite, and it's been in his garden for 3 years easy. i hear good things about medicine man as well.

I have grown the Greenhouse WR! Killer smoke,killer crystal production and I myself have Insomnia and let me tell you 1st hand......OMFG! Puts ya to sleep! Almost narcotic effect. I have also smoked the Nirvana WR! It was nice and tasty but I had to smoke a few bowls to feel it real good. The Greenhouse version was stronger imho. Haven`t smoked the Medicine Man yet,but I hear good things. Good luck to ya

I grew out the greenhouse white rhino back in the late 90's and it was damn good herb.
The stuff was even growing calyxes out onto the cola leaf stems to the base of the leafs.
Fantastic calyx to leaf ratio and very narcotic buzz I agree.

But that was back when shantibaba was still working at GH.

As far as which one to go with now... Imnsho, the choice is obvious... MrNice !

Hi there. Mr Nice has the Genuine breed although many others market the White Rhino. I have grown out Nirvana's Rhino and also Greenhouse's femmed versions. I have been trying out White Label by Sensi Seeds and see that they also offer White Rhino among many others. I have been growing some of their White Skunk and purchased a couple more packs after germinating one pack. The hybrid is of White Widow and Super Skunk I believe and for $18 bucks it is quite a bargain for me. I would also like to grow the White Rhino again and I will be shopping for some seeds in the near future. Medicine Man is at the top of my list but boy you have to be ready for the release as the seeds go quickly when they do become available. I believe Willy Jack seeds also offers a Rhino although I do not know too much about his seeds. Kind regards.

I agree I hardly see the MNS Medicine Man on seed boutique much. What were the differences between the Nirvana's and Greenhouses' Rhinos and which did you prefer?

I recommend Nirvana White Rhino.

Inexpensive - I have personally grown it a few times, kept clones, and seeds. Kickass weed.

I've never tried the others - but I did my homework before I ordered, and the Nirvana beans always stood out in a price/performance ratio.

The GHS and MNS versions are going to be pretty close, but from reading between the lines, is the Nirvana version crossed with their Skunk like a lot of their stuff ?

Underrated bud IMO, the shortest thing I have grown, some nice potent funky phenos in there.

Ive grown Medman, Greenhouse and Medicinal Marijuan seeds version. All were grown outdoors so...

Of the 3, i wont grow the Medical Marijuana Seeds version again because the plants have incredibly brittle branches that will break off the plant if you sneeze. Not acceptable.


The greenhouse and Mr. nice strains are similar, but the MM takes about a week or longer to finish and has a little bit more balanced high than the party killing greenhouse version. Of the 3, I prefer the Ghouse version because it is party killing, and comes in a femmed version. For 1/2 the money, you get twice the smoke with GH and there isnt even remotely, enough difference in the 2 to spend the extra money on the medman- if you can find them.

The smoke from all 3 is expansive and harsh in my view. Its the kind of smoke that leaves your teeth and lips coated in tar if you dont water cure. A lot of smokers dont mind this aspect but im not one of them. For me, one of the diffences between quality breeding and top quality smoke and pollen chucking is the smoothness and taste of the smoke. Just suck down a well grown blueberry- ahh, smooth and tasty. Then take you a big toke of medicine man. cough-gag-hack-cough...... You'll know the difference between Dj short and shantibaba. Its the same difference you'll find between premium whiskey and rot gut.

You could try both Nirvana and Greenhouse's versions, for the cost of MNS's version if they are even in stock? Surely you would find at least one pheno that would work for you out of those two. Just a thought.
