Carbon Activated Corp question

Hello there everyone. Quick question for anyone who has purchased carbon from Carbon Activated Corp. They got the 4x8 coconut, and I'm wondering if anyone knows their prices. It's not listed on their site and I am phone-less right now. Thanks everyone.

DO NOT BUY COCONUT CARBON! It is poor quality and doesnt last nearly as long as real activated carbon made from coal. Do youself a favor and spend a little more and get the right thing.. Last thing you want is to spend $150 on something that is inadequate for your needs.

There seem to be differing views on coco carbon, with plenty of people recommending exactly what enigma2118 is looking for. Check out this thread.

Other people, with plenty of math and practical experience on their side, say to use the cheaper, more readily available carbon, thus making it easier to refresh the filter later.

True nuff. I suppose it really all depends on the size of your grow. For me I cant take the chance or the hassle of having to re-fill or replace filters anymore than once every 12-18 months. But yea if you have a closet grow or a cab grow Im sure that the coco could do the trick.. All depends on your individual situation.

Well, I don't think I will mind refilling a carbon scrubber a couple of times a year, so if it's cheaper and pretty much as effective, I'll just go with the stuff I can find in stores nearby. Just as long as there isn't a type of carbon that just won't work at all. Hope I don't get that one :-0

I also found this online while poking around. It's a jewelry site, and I don't know if this is the same type of carbon (this here is being used to make jewelry) But at $7 for 2 pounds. Hummm....

Decided to go with Active Air 18 X 5 Carbon Filter. It was gonna cost about the same to build my own. Hope it's enough for 2.
