Well the first suggestion i can offer is for you to stop using that tap water without letting it sit out in the sun for around 2 days (Someone will correct this time period for me it may only be a day).
Why? one reason is because most public water is treated with chloramines which will kill a bit of your EM herd every time you water with it. Don't worry about the water you've already applied it seems agreed upon that most chloramines die upon contact with organic soil-but it's best to not even let them touch the soil.
-Theres a thread up here with a plethora of knowledge regarding whether you should be concerned about the Ph of your water, read it, and definitely read the link verdant green posted in it. IMO-you shouldn't have to worry about the Ph of the sink water after you let it sit out (working with that assumption it's not very alkaline), but it's your grow and your call.

As for your soil you should probably pick up a simple home testing kits for macronutrients and PH, if you paid for the soil it probably has a good amount of N,P,K and most the micro's. your soil's PH is traditionally best at 6.5, which allows for the greatest uptake of micro's, but the relevancy of the PH in organics is disputed. If you test and it's too high or low additives to buffer it are listed all around IC.
Since you didn't have the chance to mix up your soil yourself you should probably also feed Tea's with some nice Guanos and other various OM, which will give a huge boost to your plant. their are some great recipes in the organics for beginners thread.

And if your really having fun with that spray bottle, be sure to grab some kelp-look at the stickies for more info. Tea can also be applied via foliar spraying. and the majority of the stomata are on the bottom of the leaf so it's the best place to spray. Be careful with over applying foliar though plant's don't like it.

Best advice i have though: Read, read, and read this forum there is so much to learn. People may not respond to your thread; so you may have to dig around to find the information you want, but it's around here somewhere.

You couldn't be more right about the water. Even if you're local system is rated clean, it's still chlorine treated and boiling it or leaving it in the sun is a great idea.

sometimes it makes more sense to start these clones indoors, and then let them spend some time outdoors, then back indoors, etc. They generally wilt but then they're ready to go outdoors. Cover them in chicken wire so no critters eat them bad girls up. And take good care of them; learn about topping, FIM'ing, and other techniques that really make an outdoor plant outweigh others easily!

thats was up boss. good lookin. i just bought some ph drops so im gonna go test my soil tonight. when i test the soil where do i take the sample from?high

If you have one of those soil pH testers, then you take a medicine bottle (or jar etc.) and fill it halfway with soil, and the rest spring water. mix it around till you get mud, and then stick the meter into the sample; depending on your meter this can take from 2-5 mins, and you'll get a soil pH reading. This can also be done with a regular water pH meter but use much less soil and clean it immediately as they're not designed for this (I've done it I don't give a fuck, just make sure the water you use is pH balanced (i.e spring water, ro water, etc).

Buying ph drops was stupid they sold me drops that are only for liquids. I wanted to test my soil what a waste of 9 bucks. Anyways I did alot of yard work today, front yard and a lil work on the grow area i'll post pics later. I put some car window covers on the wall to reflect sulight. Also just for keeping track of the plants the pictures were taken today 5/4, I think i'll measure then and report back later...high

Again I feel compelled to point out the value of books, there are many good ones out there, try Marijuana Botany by Robert Connell Clarke. That way you can start out with a good foundation of knowledge so you won't have to improvise as you go and then ask questions after the fact.Plan before you plant and things will go much smoother.

you are right and i should, i am an avid reader. I'm trying to be high-tech and learn on the internet from experanced people from all over the world. This web site and the bits of advice i recieve from the community are all part of my first timer experance. I know alot of people who have read books and grown good weed. However none of them have ever grown top shelf weed. Alot of people here have grown top shelf, top notch, perfect 10, grade A pot. So I am attempting to use this web site as my book. The thing is this though I have a very short attention span. So if I can take a pic of my actual plant and get advice on what i should do to each, i find that much more valuable then general knowldge gained from a book...high
