Well the babies picked up - 4 weeks in veg and one of the bagseeds already showed sex - the fucker had balls so he got castrated... lol

Anyhow, the humidity problem isn't being a problem so thats good. Check out my journal in my sig to see my progress

Any time easy!
U know the ol lady miss her daddy man. I am a wild one so she gotta keep tabs. I easily loose track of time, a common trait amongst stoners.
Thanx josey

I'm also in the Valley of the Sun... I have a small 20"x36" grow tent for my two moms and a tray of clones. 6 36W CFL's.
Lights on temps are about 75f... humidity is 15%.
I've thinking about firing up a humidifier in there, but it's sounding like most of y'all aren't having any issues with the low humidity.
What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Caz

i checked my humidity last night; it was 20%. making it higher would be good but i know that having it this low won't affect my yeilds that much. you might get a couple grams or so more per plant if you increase the humid but keeping the humidity in the 50 plus range is a pain in the buttocks! when i stopped using something to increase the humid i didn't notice a change in weight.

i'm lazy and i just don't care about the humid anymore. don't sweat it! :)

Hey Chief... I've yet to try growing MJ outdoors. I'd imagine it would take a strain that's very used to a very dry/hot environment... is there cannabis in the Sahara?? ;)

With July temps hitting 115+, I'm thinking Hydro is really the only way to go, but that's just an semi-educated guess...

Cheers!

How do plants do in 100+ temps outdoors? Can a superb product be had?

yes but u should screen plants so they dont burn in the most intense days.
have done it with success. n the sun does things to the plant that u just cant do inside or at least i cant...
i used shitty clones that i was gonna toss n said wtf lets see....
give it a shot if security is not a prob..

hydro would be the way to go for an expierenced grower here but if your just getting started stick to soil i'd recommend a simple earth worm casting and peet moss soil mix i pull down 8 ounces in dirt down here so maybe there is something in all that worm poop

I am doing some outdoor stuff this year. I am only giving them morning sun, then they get shade the rest of the day. They will be in soil too. We shall see if it works.

good luck man i'm attempting tomatoes and failing at that and they're supposed to like the sunlight all day long but it's just to much uv i think not sure though

I know resin ryder and I think maj have grown outstanding outdoor plants in the desert furnace. Gotta stay on top of the water req's and like sir said...a little shade cloth helps. I've done ok putting out some small vegged cuts out in august/sept and let them do their thing thru the end of november with some luck.

i could where doing something like this as shtake says isnt a bad idea at all as long as you got the place to do it like i said i figured i'd do the tomatoe thing first and see how that goes and if it does well i'm moving outta vegas a few hundred miles that a way
