Ok AN users I FINALLY decided to try out a product I KNOW works from friends experiences with it saying it was a great product. Said it really did increase his resin by about 20% and his yield was bigger. So I know the chart I'm following for H&G made by mjactivist called for Carbo Load and Sweet so I figured I could replace those with Bud Candy! Thing I've noticed is when I seen it online the label was 0-0-1 and had all kinds of shit listed I believe they were amino acids? something like 72 of them I could be wrong. Well this new one with a Coco Coir Safe sticker doesn't have any NPK at all! Says it's only got 0.5% Magnesium and is derived from Magnesium Sulfate and THAT'S IT!!!! WTF is up with this? Also is it really going to take 8ml per gal or could I get away with 6ml cuz the chart uses 3ml CarboLoad and 3ml of Sweet all the way through. I'm just hoping this shit doesn't suck now cuz I've got my one buddy and his friends loving it and then my other buddy isn't really liking it at all and isn't seeing anything spectacular so I'm hoping this isn't cuz he's using what I just picked up cuz I KNOW my other buddy was using the 0-0-1 version. TooHigh HELP!!!!

Hey bro - Bud Candy is a remade product as they have discontinued sweet leaf. It's about half sweet leaf and half a new formula.

From AN:
Carboloading your plants requires a specialty formula. In actuality, your plants best absorb simple or complex carbohydrates when they are present as Arabinose, Dextrose, Glucose, Maltose and Xylose from Raw Cane Extract, Malt Extract, Cranberry Extract and other premium carbohydrate sources.

- It's doing the same shit molasses does - I'm pretty sure it's just the sugars in the shit that make it react better i don't think it's just molasses that does it sugar kane is sugar kane brotha.

doesn't have molasses or doesnt have carbs? I would love to know a listed %
Magnesium Sulfate aka MgSO4·7H2O is commonly called Epsom salt.

Most 'carb products' have Mg and S (Sugardaddy, floranectar, Sweet)

Also anyone notice Bud Candy barely raises your ppm at all by 5-10ppm? I know my pen is right and my tap was 79 and 8ml brought it to 86ppm just curious what the old formula does ppm wise?

If you don't get the results you want from Bud Candy, try buying molasses, malt extract and raw sugar cane juice (sold as panela/panocha/jaggery) and mixing your own. I use those three plus a local brand seaweed extract and I am happy with my results.

I dont know your ppm conversion, but...
10mL/Gal of Sweet raises the ec 0.3-0.4 fwiw

27 posts Sensi name yea you must work for AN... Did you not read all of my post I bought the shit I am using it just find it odd they changed it SO much it's derived from a totally different product now ... Magnesium Sulfate and before it was Potassium Sulfate and on the website they are still showing the old label but the NEW BOTTLE! Get it together and let me know what the fuck is in my bottle not some lil poem about feeling like a lil kid or any other nonsense. WHAT IS IN THE BOTTLE NOW!!! I called twice and got NO ANSWER and for the newbie thing your damn right I'll tell them to stay away from that shit and go House & Garden the ONE company Big Mike wont do a side by side with. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder why that is and even said Roots Excelurator is better than his Jump Start that got me thinking about all the other products like the base nutes. AN is JUST NOW going to add Humic and Fulvic acid to the base nutes LOL wow you finally caught up to Canna and H&G good job! Also I'll say yea AN gives some BIG BUDS but the quality is NOT SHIT!!! Nothing like the competitors and I'm more about QUALITY!!!!

I liked the Sweetleaf better. It made Hazes much more flavorful. The Budcandy is probably made with people growing diesel crosses and fruity indicas in mind. It makes the Hazes tastier than without, but not as nice as with Sweetleaf. I have noticed that there is a bigger increase in flavor with both products when carboload(liquid is all I have tried) is used. I think Budcandy is closer to the berry Sweet than the citrus Sweet.

I gave budcandy a fair shake. I added it to my res and first my ph went super low, like from 5.8 to 4.5, and after i corrected it to 5.5 it goes up to 6.4 everyday. My plants don't look to bad, but the bud candy surely hasn't helped. Been dealing with this through 2 res changes, thought i screwed up the first time, and i won't be using bud candy again. Did i mention it caused my res to foam up and smell like poop? Thats my experience. Has anyone else seen anything like this from bud candy, seems pretty weird.

I wish I had any experience with it. I have heard good things from a pretty reputable source about that & bud factor X. no yield increases but major trichage... I hated sweetleaf.
I'm not the biggest fan of sweet either. I grow pot that tastes great and needs no "enhancement" if you need carbs to feed beneficials, molasses not only feeds beneficials but it also provides other species of beneficial enzymes. I didn't think dextrose based carbs were molecularly small enough to be absorbed by the rhizosphere. I had read studies where the only useable carbs are produced by enzymatic activity. I may have read it wrong, but I would like to think I got it right. I think most know my take on AN by now. if swordfish only knew all of sensibowls 27 posts are AN related....

Don't know about carbs but I had someone show me 6 years ago a diagram that showed Vitamin B being too big to be up taken but the plants cell walls and only a small amount of it could get through.

I have deleted Sensibowl and swordfish's post's on this thread. These AN threads are getting a bit ridiculous already with all the fighting and name calling, I've had to lock two already. That kinda behavior will NOT be tolerated anymore.
Please guys, let's try an respect one another.

Thanks evlme2 I'm not trying to bash AN just want to know what they hell they are selling me and my buddies. I also don't like being LIED too saying that other companies don't have Amino Acids in their sweeteners! That is what kept me from buying Sweet Raw! Well the other day I got a pamphlet for Sweet and it's got EVERYTHING!!!! That Bud Candy has and probably a bit more now that they changed BC's formula which has 20 and Sweet has 21 along with the vitamins they boast about and polyphenolic compounds also. I'm running Sweet Raw with Carboload next round and see if it's better which my gut is telling me it is just like it did for H&G's line and so far I've never had such lush beautiful plants!

The bottle of Bud Candy I have still is 0-0-1 and lists "72 additional nutrients" on it. It is not thin or thick and has a light light brownish color. The bottle of Bud Candy that my buddy bought and used when it first came out was thinner and looked and smelled like Sweet Leaf. It was very dark, just like Sweet Leaf. Maybe they changed it AGAIN. I'll have to check it out next time i am up at the store.

Yea it's changed AGAIN buddy! The stuff you have is the one I KNEW worked that my buddy used. But I got the new one with the Coco Coir Safe sticker and it's got no NPK rating and it's no longer derived from Potassium Sulfate and is now derived from Magnesium Sulfate so it's like a bottle of Sweet now IMO cuz that's EXACTLY what it is derived from.

So its Epsom salts and diluted molasses.
