Nutrient Solution Question

How long does nutrient solution last when premixed?? Since Coco is watered on a more regular basis than soil. I was thinking that it would make more sense to premix it beforehand.

I was hoping not to have to mix nutrient solution every other day. I was hoping that I would be able to mix up a large amount at one time and mix it once a week or ever other week.

I am going to be growing 3 small plants.

Does anyone know how long it last before it goes bad?? For example if I had nutrient solution that was to 2 or 3 weeks old in a 10 gallon tank, would it still be ok for the plants??

organic feeds don't last as long, usually need to be airated, or will go bad in 24 hours, or anything microbial will die if not airated

Yeah I was actually talking about non organic...for example Hesi Coco..but thanks..at least now I know that organic doesn't last long at all..I will be sure to remember that..

Watering by the calendar is not the way to go,you want to learn when your plants NEED water, that way you won't under/overwater them.Or you could find yourself with a nutrient disorder/toxic buildup and need to adjust your nutes accordingly. These problems can manifest themselves in days,so using a solution that is weeks old wouldn't be for the best. Also, the plants nute needs will change from week to week,so using the same mix 3 weeks in a row is not the best plan.

3 small plants in coco will not be using alot of water,if they are in 3 gallon pots they probably will never need more than a gallon every 2 or 3 days.I have never found mixing nutes to be labour intensive or time consuming. To me it seems like the possible negatives outweigh any benefits you may get from premixing. If perfection is what you aim for, there is no room for laziness.

EDIT:I have never used coco myself so I cant be sure on the exact water schedule, but in any case I feel that my reasoning is sound regardless of the volume of water required.
