It won't be easy to keep the mothers through the summer. I aim for a 1 strain cabin on my next winter grow - any plant that falls behind - stays behind. Only one will win the race !
(Its the Lemon Skunk for now)

Gave the plants a nice feeding with 3ml HESI coco, 2ml Atami Bloom Stimulator and 1.2ml Ata PK. No molasses this time not to clog the medium.

Checked the trichomes and on most plants there are 20% clear, 70% Milky and 10% or so amber.
On some there are a bit more amber ones.

The extra PK should pump the buds up to match the looks with the trichomes stage.

I predict around 20 days to chopchop. I will give them the same feeding this saturday but with 1ml\L Atami Bloom Stimulator and 1 piled up spoon of molasses in 15L of solution.
Then starting on monday (week 9 of flowering mark) I'll give them clean tap water with 2 times the emount they usually get. Or more.
Then from there its molasses with water until they look ready to me.

3-5 days before the chopchop the plants will be manicured as much as possible. The last 3 days will be straight darkness.
I might keep some lower buds on if their not big enough to pack a bowl. (each)
They will get the extra time they need to fill up. I hate useless fluff and there aren't any plants that are schedualed to go in there any time soon.


Do you think I'll reach my 320 grams goal?

Its really hard to tell by your pics but i think you should do it. That would be a little better then .75gpw. A very reasonable goal.

This is my first run fully with coco and chem nutes, first time using a screen and I had quite a few things to tune up.
On my next run, when I'll be more educated, I'll set the bar to 400 grams probably. I know I can do that but I had to do some learning before.

Giving the buds more height above the screen and giving 2\3 strengh nutes all the way should boost my yield greatly next time.

Today I snipped off a whole bunch of not-so-healthy leaves that were shading some parts of the plants.
I hate doing that, specially in the end of flowering as I believe that thoes leave contain the energy the plant needs and moving them away is taking power from the plant.
I did it as I thought the lower parts needed that energy more.

I started giving the nutes that should be last week - 3ml Hesi Coco, 1ml Atami Bloom Complex, 1.5ml ATA P\K and molasses.

Later I checked the status of the trichomes.
The Blue Mystic is almost done. It will be filled with a lot of water with molasses in 2 days and cut down 5 days later. The trichomes are 30% amber and about 2% black already.
The Great White Shark is about 20% amber with some clear ones still.
The Cheese is a tiny bit behind the Great White Shark.
The White Rhino have about 2 weeks to go with about 25% still clear and about 10% amber.
I had no access to check on the Lemon Skunk but I would like it to go as long as possible.

Monday means update
Week 9 into flowering today.

I started giving the Blue Mystic only molasses water at about 3-4 liters a day. That way what comes out of the pot also feeds the other plants close-by.
In 2-3 days it will be manicured alive and 2 days later - chopped just before it wakes up. hopefully.
Its looks ripe enough to me to start this proccess. I'll follow it closely to see how it goes. Might take a few extra days or a few days less.

Beside that everthing else is pretty much the same.
Its the first time I get some purpling on the buds with the Blue Mystic. It looks like rot to me, but what the heck. I grew out 5 females from seeds by now, growing about 12 plants total.

I learnt a proper way to color correct my camera finally so picture should be better as we go on from here.
The overall photo was before I found out. Looks bad.



I'm learning a whole lot about organics. I think my next winter grow will be half organic and half mineral.
Anyhow, I'm still starting the learning proccess, which seems to be a very long one compared to the learning needed for growing in coco\perlite with mineral fertilizers.

I chopped down half of the main BM today just before lights went on, removed the other half from the screen, manicured it and put it in the storage shelf to stay in the dark for the next 2-3 days.

Got a drying box from a cardboard box and some fans. Doesn't hold much but enough for now.

Its a day past the 10 weeks mark. Sorry I couldn't update yesterday.

I'm giving the plants as much water as possible - about 15L every 2.5 days. I can't give them more because the water build up on the floor and are about to drip from their frame.

I gave them a bit of extra molasses - about 4 even tablespoons for 15L of water.
They started yellowing to quick for my likings.

I need to find time in the next couple of days to manicure the ripe buds - they should be picked already.

Anyhow, the main reason for this post in pictures Everybody loves pictures.

Blue Mystic (that first picture) have the best bag appeal I ever had. It yields very well compared to the other strains I grew. It tastes nice too.
But the potency is pretty low, the tolerance buildup is real quick and the high lasts half the time I get with my other strains.

The only strain I grew which compare to the bag appeal was Greenhouse Arjan's Haze #2. OWESOME looking (grow pingpong sized buds that are very firm), good tasting. Low yield, strechy, sensitive and hates heat.
As for the high - it was the best high I ever had. ULTRA SPACEY.
It was on my first grow so I blame my skills for the lack of potency.

I found some time to trim most of the fan leaves and manicure a few buds.
I hope I'll get to manicure tomorrow. Then some saturday night.

When I'll finish up most I'll flip the lights off for 3 days and then chopchop them all.

Well, 11 weeks of flowering is enough.
The strains were rated 7-9 weeks, some were "up to" 10 weeks.
All the buds will get chopped pretty soon.

I've worked on manicuring for almost 3 hours straight today.
Filled a sandwich bag cramped full of sugar leaves for hash making and another one of fan leaves for honey oil.

There's some more manicuring to do but the plants were put on straight darkness for the next 2 days and then most of them will be chopped.
The ones that still needs lots of manicuring will be chopped a day or two later.


The first number came in and its 14.55 grams for half of the right Blue Mystic.
Buds looks delicious but a bit airy.
The other big Blue Mystic have some monster cola I estimate will be about 15-20 grams dry alone.

I've burped the Blue Mystic jar today and dear god what a awful stench! Smells like nail polish, diesel and rotten grass with a really potent smell!
I just can't wait for it to get a proper cure! The smell is changing a lot during curing with the BM - it changes to a much more... pleasant smell.

I did check your diary - it looks very well.
And it does look similar.

I like to let my Blue Mystic get over-ripe. Unless I do that the high is too short for me.

I love the smoke but I won't grow it again with other plants as its a flying objects magnet.
Although its a strong plant the other plants getting infected with the flying objects usually aren't as strong.

All plants have been harvested.
Got the previous 16" (i think) revolving fan on low blowing on them.
The screen have been stretched to the "walls" and secured. Most nugs are hung from the screen.
