You can ask around here, and most experienced people will agree, Milwaukee seems to come out on top as far as ph testing goes.

Ive had a cheapo 20$ milwaukee and its never failed, as long as you dont drop it in the water.

I'd go with the Hanna I have a milwaukee ph51 and it is a piece of shit. I have only had it for about 4 months and the display is failing. The hannas are nice, so are the oakton ecotesters (really durable).

Funny, that is the exact opposite of what I read around here. And in my experience the Hanna has been great!

my ph test strips/drops have never let me down...fuck paying big bucks for some fancy pen when you can get strips/drops out ya local fish store for next to nothing,,,,you will not use the pen very often unless your a shocking grower, so bin that idea,,spend the money on some beans & then pick up some ph strips/drops with the change:tiphat:

hey

Don't buy the Hanna with the 2 in one metre ph and ec meter in the same unit ..those won't last and are fairly expensive ..at least 5 years ago many reported these being quite lousy

buy the ec and ph meters as separate ..and you prolly get them cheaper also

I have used a cheaper Adwa meters and those have also worked just fine..

But, the 2 in 1 meters should be avoided ...so they say.

Later.

After considerable research, I avoid pH meters in favor of drops. Meters are crashoots at best with Milwaukee sucking the least followed by Oakton and Hanna scraping up the rear.

Best of drops or strips.Get Sunleaves PH drops.10$ off ebay.Best drops for the price. One drop to test.A bottle will last forever.

i must say

i must say

im highly upset with milwaukees products, and also the store i bought mine from. spent 75 bucks on a ph57, which was an hour away from me. to get home to find out that it rattles inside of it, and is way the fuck off. and since its electronics i cant return it, they have to send it back to the manufacturer so they can determine whether im the one who broke it or whatever it may be. its a big fucking joke.
they sell me an obviously broken pen, then basically tell me its not their problem. funny thing is, im doing organics, and the only reason i bought it was to just "know" what my PH levels were.

buyer beware!
just thought id share this with all of you and possibly help you make a good decision when spending good money on these.
