THC Clones are clean, I've bought over 20 different starins from THC in this past year and have never had ONE problem, in fact Arjen and Gen have the largest selection of Proven pheno's, but they have been the cleanest clones I have seen in CO so far, and I do search out the ladies. MHO

Aphids came from your interactions with others not THC, but still every clone purchased MUST be quarentined for 10 days no matter what, again MHO
I purchased four clones from THC in Rollinsville. While I was there, I witnessed two trays of clones filled with mold. Mold.

My clones from THC, in a new, clean tent, have massive Powdery Mildew contamination. This is from THC.
They are nice people, and they have many strains, but the notion that anything hygienic is going on there is a little far fetched. Visit a growroom in Holland if you want to see someone doing it carefully. THC is still learning the ropes. But some of their buds are wonderful, and I wish them luck. We all take our chances getting clones. My clones from them were infected with PM, and now I am fighting it regularly.
good luck

From what I gathered in a quick read, this HB1284 is a true nightmare of a bill. Sponsored by top assholes including Romer, this bill not only rapes "patient rights", but it shreds any presence of free market capitalism in the process. I'd like to see what those fuckers would do if the gov't tried to put its hands on any of their business.

Everybody should click on Mile Hi Dave's link and read this, then contact all those politicians telling them to VOTE NO HB1284

It sucks but sometimes the reality of it is you just need to start over.. Just recently had a good friend go through this. Does anyone else think that there is a species of mite that evolved to live on sour diesel plants?? -FunkFingers

Just got back from my garden and I have mites, very very visable webs and I can see the adults. Funny you ought to say somehting about the sour diesel, that was the first plant I noticed them on. A co-worker bought some stuff, but I did not recognize the name, and I can not remember it ahahah. I sprayed all of our plants and clones. Light was out so I really drenched them. The stuff that we used smelled like garlic and onions, the label looked something like a burts bees label.

NEVER ever had to deal with mites, but I just read the 5 pages or so on mites. We will see what happens. Luckily I am only in my veg, while the flower room is finishing up.

Should I bug bomb the flower room? Only problem that I see with that is that the veg room pulls air from the flower room and I do not want to kill off my moms. NO flowers in the flower room, there will be once we take care of the mites.

Love this forum,

Ace

if the bug bomb you are speaking of is pyrethrum, then i'd bomb both. you don't have flowers, you won't kill your moms, unless they are teetering on the edge right now...why don't you bomb both rooms and get rid of the borg...at least for a little while.

Are you trying to set up a completely sealed environment? If not then just get a big box fan or the like and you'll be good. Heat should not be an issue with 1 600 W light and that much space in a basement.

I doubt my room will be completely sealed because 1 i am using mylar as a make shift wall and door. Hanging it on the ceilings and walls. So a few fans in my room should make enough air movement and my ventilation system will take the hot air out should work correct? Anybody have any links to basement grows

Thanks for your input! That clone room didn't look very clean/organized to me either...
I like the guys up at THC too. Some fucker on here accused me of being a liar. Get a grip bro. I wouldn't spread shit about good peeps. Just trying to save some others on here the frustrations I went through.

appreciate the response gateway. I suppose I could bomb both rooms, just do not want to run into more problems that could be caused by the bomb. I will have to do some more research and figure it out.

how far into flower is your room... concentrate on your veg plants use something like organicide on your more mature plants, not on the real little ones organicide will make the little ones get stunt or die..switch up treatments every 9 days or so..

Anyone ever try planting a few marigold's in the garden? I know it's an old tomato gardener trick to keep bugs away, and apparently works phenomenally. It would interesting to see if it works. Knock on wood I've never had bugs other than gnats, but I was at the nursery and shit was infected, got me wondering.
I have a bunch, just starting to bloom a few days ago. Several different varieties too. I was thinking just that, they are a natural pest repellent, so we will see how they do.

DO NOT BREATH in the Pyretheum...Painter masks from the HD work (not the cheapo dust filters), but really don't plan on doing anything in that room when the lights come on except airing it out.
Bomb both, then a few days later clean the bitches up with spray, as long as they are not too far into budding (depends on who you talk to).
I always spray my veg (weekly, bi-weekly, if they need it???), and early flower to save on bombs, they get expensive.
I prefer an alternating schedule of azadiractin and pyretheum...

But if you have an infestation, then you gotta fork the dough on bombs, otherwise you will be wiping leaves all night long (depending on how big your garden is). To save money, you can get in there like a monkey on hair lice.

Bombs are not a cureall, but they sure do 'Bomb' the little fuckers :hotbounce. Then you are just worried about survivors and eggs hatching and that vicious cycle at work.

I didnt get any bugs from THC.....but I did spray them for about a week before they went into my room.....doing fine now
Do you put a jimmy on your johnny when you have sex with a Prostitute???

Well, people bitching about the Quality of a Free Market Commodity, need to take a little responsibility for their end of it. This is why I no longer take my extra clones to dispensaries, I hear too much bitching, screw it, I kill 'em and ya'll can go from seeds. Did Romer's regulation have any insight into standards of state inspected clones? I think it was on page 137.

Quarantine, these are not humans, plants don't have rights.

And mites are found naturally in Colorado during the summer, so filter your incoming air if you are worried.

Indeed, there are certain plants that each pest species prefers over canna. The strategy is to load the "trap plant" up with heavy duty fully systemic pesticides, then put it in your room and let the bugs suck/bite away at the trap plant, then die.

I recently found another bad-ass trick, if you've got bottled CO2 at your disposal:
1. Take a large heavy duty garbage bag and put an entire plant and its container inside.
2. Get as much air out of the bag as you can without damaging the plant.
3. Put CO2 gas tube inside of bag while holding it air tight with a firm grip.
4. Turn on CO2 regulator until bag is full but not bursting.
5. All insects not buried in medium will die in a couple minutes.

Bug Bombs do not work in the long term.
The ONLY way to kill your bug infestation for sure is with CO2 at 10,000ppm for 3hrs twice a day for 5 days.
This will kill bugs and eggs in your grow medium also. go 7 days if you want, this will not hurt your plants.
Everyone I know and have passed this info onto that has done this so far has defeated their infestation.
Everybody this works for bugs only. I learned this back on Overgrow with my mite problem.
There are threads here on icmag with people saying the same thig.
F..k poisons
Pyrethins cause sterility in humans, known fact.

Pets, and pest bring in the mites, Keep your dogs and cats, and them damn mice out of your grow room. yep mice carry all sorts of mites.

I did a little reading, and apparently they (marigolds) are especially effective against aphids, but it is the roots of the marigold that are toxic to them. It said you can even just mix marigold roots into your soil and they will die/and or not enter the soil. Not sure how that would impact a cannabis plant though? Also I don't think it would be effective against mites, but who knows. :tiphat: Props to anyone who is a guinea pig for the rest of us.

I volunteer for the position.

I have 3 varieties of marigolds blooming right now.

I will blend up some roots and make a soil drench of roots and water and compare that to just putting ground up roots in the soil.

I also want to try it as a spray.
