I was looking into different nutes and man, 20 bucks a quart? Is it a deal for soil?

Then I found this stuff "Shooting Power". starts a new flowering cycle after the regular flowering phase, significantly increasing the fruit's weight. The extra yield after applying this nutrient additive will surprise you. 67 bucks!

nitrogen and phosphorus are the keys to increasing bud sites. nitrogen creating more nodes and p stimulating calyx growth at the nodes. the potassium seems to swell the buds so i prefer to start swelling them after done stretching the plant(potential yield) N-P early out to P-K later...adding any fertilizer can increasse growth but adding pk later causes more uniform growth and a smother transiton instead of foxtailing by adding n-p later and p-k earlier

ive always herd that ammonical nitrogen CAUSES strech...

budblood, and budignitor, both reduce strech 0... ZERO
i havent even found a reason to use them, so i stopped.

connie by itself will flower a plant in veg cycle, why add more?

By the way it's not the 0-39-25 in Bud Blood that makes it do what it does. There's something else (some hormone / PGR / something) that's responsible for it. Kinda like H&G's "drip clean"... it's not the NPK that makes it do its thing, the NPK is usually just the by-product that happens to be required by law to list on that type of packaging.

i like to use cucumber ash alternated with guano and other ash teas. The cucumber gives the weed a watermellon escence. i had an early chopped herm hanging to dry and the smell from outside the house was amaizing. Less water, more mellon:tree:

thats great, i can imagin all the smoke and all the smoke and sweet smell u get from burning those skins, it like inscence:D
banana ash is also a good pk booster when balanced with guano....
i am beginin to think stretch may suit outdoors better and am yet to change to bloom nutes at 2 weeks flower outdoors. i give a very rich compost tea with molases and minimal guano and ash and the older fan leaves are still dropping of as the branches stretch sending out lots of busites thanks to the guano.
those are about a week into flower. Will probably give another dose of n after the next heavy rain and switch to the cucumber.

Pan and torch, hehe. Would it work to wrap a cucumber in foil and put it on a grill or fireplace? Or would some aluminum (chemically?) get into the mix somehow?

I always thought stretch was caused by the sudden decrease in light when going from 20/4 or 18/6 to 12/12. I noticed I get less stretch when vegging at 16/8, and thought it was because the difference in light level after the flip is less. Also, outdoor plants don't really stretch like they do under artificial light, I thought because the transition to flowering was gradual. Guess it's more complicated than I thought.

But did you get more stretch from the 16/8 veg to begin with compared to 18/6 or higher schedules, and what you noticed was I guess the % difference between pre-flower and post-flower? Or did the 16/8 veg as tight as higher cycles, maybe just a little slower?

Just curious.

dont use a whole cucumber, just the skin, burning a cucumber would be like trying to burn water, you can basicaly make a makeshift frying pan from the foil and put it on a flame till the ash smokes to a crumbly texture. it will have big chunks which decompose over time while the dust is solube.

indoors the strech is probably more aparant as the veg in 12/12 before switching to full bloom. outdoors the stretch is more considered as the first sign of flowers to when they stop growing verticaly and start swelling. the period of early flower outdoors lasts about a month + the extra 10 days-month of veg time after the flip to 12/12. Veg growth is usually stretchy because of hps lighting where as the plant may flower long before 12/12 outdoors when the light spectrum is more red....i think lol

a perfect combo might be stretching them indoors under an hps and bring outside for the later part of flower for better light penetration and better yields.

There are others that have been saying this for a few years, especially as it relates to coco.

Too much P is bad for taste, just like N, but the N can be flushed.

PK 9/18 might be a better choice than 13/14.

As far as flavor goes it depends on your source of P/K.

I use these two products along with GH Flora Micro/Bloom and with minimal flush my bowls burn to white ash with top notch flavor.

I had good stretch without any boosts, but we could all use a little more stretch.;) Will be trying this next round.
