what do you guys think of the light setup? That bare bulb has me always guessing, it seems really inefcient. To give perspective the white board in the back is 4'x8'.

Plants look good. I agree they are a bit too tall. I can't tell how much and what type of light you are using. I strongly suggest that you forgo flowering from the ground up and concentrate as much light as possible to the tops of each plant.

My boss did the same thing and never took my advice flowering the entire plant with the available light. He ended up with thin and leafy buds. He said he got a couple ounces, but i don't buy it one bit from what I saw.

More light to the top....

I would tie the tall one to the right down to get the canopy even with the other plants. You sure that gal is the NL and not the White Widow? I grew both and WW streched like a mother and the NL was manageable.

Mylar is good at $10 a roll to reflect light from the sides.

Everything looks good. No worries.

So its been 10 weeks for all the plants, they should be done eh? Where can i find something locally to check trichs? Will a magnifying glass work

Looking good. I use a Radio Shack lighted scope to check trichomes but I usually go by the health of the flower - has it stopped growing pistils.

I finally got a micrscope thing and they dont look done, most of the trichs look cloudy but none amber. The thing is really more dificult to use than i thought, most of the time i dont see anything through it and when i do see something its hard to focus on.

Where the best place to check, just all over? Oh, and its been almost been 11weeks, 79 days 12/12 and 3 strains and 8 plants and none are done? Itd be better to harvest later than sooner ?

Its a few days over 12 weeks and i still havent harvested. A few are really close and are turning rock hard, but very few if any amber trichs. I am really suprised they are taking so long. I never read on here people flowering for over 12 weeks, it seems they are always 6-9 weeks?

Two of the plants have barely done anything in this 2 weeks and seem to be trash. Im getting anxious to start chopping but im scared to chop em too early after all this time. Im assumiong it would be better let em go longer than too early?

Im so excited to harvest but my first time but also a little nervous about the dry and cure and if ther end product is gonna be any good. Ive had to start tying up branches on one of em which has me gitty. Its been my dream to have buds so big i gotta tie em up =). The white widows smell absolutely delicious, like fruity pebbbles and look as good as anything ive bought. I cant wait to put the clones outside and see what they p[roduce out doors.

This is so exciting Its my first flower! =)

I would not worry about not seeing amber. Are the trichomes at least milky? If 2 of the plants have not done anything for 2 weeks, chop them. If the other plants are still showing new growth, let them go. I let White Widow go until 77 days. I flower my plants short from seed and I am usually a week or 2 longer than the breeder usually lists. Longer veg and clones are quicker.

Got any closeup bud shots to post?

Ya most are cloudy and growth has seemed to stop on all of em, 2 started growing new pistol kinda late. So you dont think amber trichs are too important? They were veged a long time and almost all of them showed pre flowers before i flowerd so they were mature.

thats all i have on hand but thjey are recent, ill try and get better ones tomorrow

Thanks for the help i appreciate it, not many others are interested lol im just excited so i like to share

I think it depends on the strain with trichs. I try to pick the buds at their peak before they decline. I think it is important to wait until they are milky. I would wait for amber with a heavy hitting Indica for maximum "stone".

These buds like they are close to peak - not yet declining.

One of my plants that hasnt done anything in 12weeks flower started making seeds.

Another plant started making male flowers or those banna things i hear about. Should i cut it right down?

I took some samples on 4/20 and it seemed decent, i think one is getting chopped today.
