Looks like an Alien, better call NASA!

No it's a banana, but it doesn't seem to be dropping pollen and you look very close to done. I doubt the nanner will want to drop pollen, I've never actually seen this from those but people say they surely do.

naners bro

its weird to think that, and especially at that stage of a plants life, but i would think so as well.

but even if they are, arent those/that plant pretty much getting chopped soon, like "in a couple days" soon? i wouldnt worry about it though, since its literally too late to do anything, but i would watch that strain from now on

plants at the end of the lifecycle that havent been pollinated will sometimes go hermie, but if its a few days away thats not enough time for seeds to form so your in the clear.

Make sure when you trim you set aside that bud.
Then when you're smoking it, you can yell

"I'm smoking you balls now motherfucker! What you gonna do about it?"

Think she'll show you some balls next time? Don't think so.

Nice pics though, very clear to see what is happening. Some of the best hermie pics I've seen.

Where did they come from?

Nanners are a real issue in any grow situation. By the time you see nanners, the plant has already gone through plenty of stress to cause it to form those nanners. And unless you've done something to change it, it's likely continuing to go through that stress. Just not very productive.

But yes, it's worse for perpetual in terms of possibility of seed production.

some strains are just prone to go hermie, regardless of stress or lack of it. i have one strain that the better i get my grow dialed in, the bigger and more healthy the hermies are, but every single one goes hermie, and none of the other strains do, and i've tried adjusting just about every environmental factor.

top bud nanners are usually just a cosmetic issue. watch the lower nodes though for real ball sacks that will release pollen.

thanks for the help. just wondering wtf. they will be chopped later this week. this is the only nug showing naners out of 4 other plants. oh well. peace

quick update.
was hoping to see a decent amount of amber before these were pulled. i honestly cant find any so im thinking about giving it more time. should these naners be cause to chop it right now? there are still a good amount of white pistils on top and if you see in the pics, there is what looks to me like new growth. like the green ball right above the naner in the first pic. there are plenty of those hanging around. is that new bud growth? or something to be concerned about...
thanks
