First time building a drying / curing room

So I think I Have a pretty good grasp of what I need to build to have a successful drying / curing room. but I would appreciate any input.

heres the plan

4'x8' x 32" high box

3 racks with mesh screen 4' deep and 6' long
should hold enough product in a single layer on each shelf and be easily shaken.

in the space at the end of the cab, there would be a humidifier, de-humidifier, heater and fresh air intake.

bassically everything is on a temp or humidity limit switch, so if it gets too humid the de humidifier kicks in untill it comes down, and vice versa, the fresh air intake would be on a timer as well as a temp switch, ie: if it gets too warm the fresh air kicks in, too cold and the heater kicks in.

I think with this setup I should be able to keep it within the ideal ranges.

I know how important a good dry and cure is, especially after seeing and smelling a beautiful crop of timewarp and lemon hash that smells like a barn, still smokes good, but what a shame. personally i dont want to make that mistake.

Cheers

I just hang mine in the dark with proper humidity levels, and a circulating fan, on some strings. Works great.

micron? no I guess small enough to keep anything from falling through and big enough for good air flow.

And yeah essentially what I was saying was my idea for a method of keeping humidity and temps controlled.

cheers

Sounds like overkill to me. But, I'm sure it would work. You might wanna cure in jars too, not on racks. I hang to dry from metal clothes hangers and cure in jars. Comes out great everytime. Good luck with you venture though.

Have you considered using a hygrometer to monitor the cure? Check the thread in my sig. Good luck.
