I am pretty sure it is the same, you just have to keep in mind their flowering time when you seed em so the seeds mature all the way but other than that....plus crossing regulars and autos doesn't always result in an auto...but crossing autos would be just like crossing any other plant...

Just don't pollinate too late!
It happened to me when I was makind seeds first time with lowryders.
You might wan't to pollinate twice, first to make sure you get some ripe seeds and week or two later again to get bigger seedcrop...

instead of doing a whole plant try doing the lower branches of all of them, then after you smoked each plant you will know the ones whos offspring you want to work with.

Thats true or you'll end up with kernels.

If you can out of that pack of seed pull one female to designate seed production to and try to seperate the other females. 1 seeded female alone can produce easily a hundred or two seeds if pollinated right.

If i were to plant a bunch of male and female lowryder2 out doors together, would the offspring be the same percentage of Santa Maria x Lowryder as the seeds i bought?

Also.. if i plant on may 7th then 12 weeks later (july 16th) would the offspring seeds be ready to plant with a 10 week grow time and 2 week dry time? I could easily get 2 crops in one season. a 10 pack of seeds can become 200 seeds easily. I love these auto flowering strains. Can't wait to get started.

I sort of get what you're asking seems like the same thing twice.
First paragraph.... yes they would be 100% af. Unless there are neighbors around you that grow AF plants to then just happen if thier's are blooming too. But would still end up with AF. Chances of of a regular weed plant blooming this early is only man enduced but a slim chance. Then there is the chance for a non flower AF

If you grow autos they should be about ready the same time. But overall what you grow will need time to dry out between bud and seed... a week or so for bud and a time span of atleast 2-3 weeks for seed. If you play your cards right after this first seed run... still no reason not to have 3 runs before the first frost.

Thanks for the replys!! But I'm still unclear. Lowryder is an afXsativa(Santa Maria)..you say the offspring will be 100% autoflowering. So it will lose all the Santa Maria properties?

Damn so it takes 3 weeks after harvest for seeds to become ripe?

I don't mean to jack this thread, but I'm doing the exact same thing lol.

I was planning on taking the seeds from my plants, and right after drying for a week, breaking them up, taking the seeds and replanting like a week or 2 after harvest.

So I have to wait 3 weeks for them to finish?

yeah bro...typically you want to wait 4wks on avg. for your seeds to dry/ripen....I too want to use my seeds A.S.A.P. BUT, it wouldn't be practical or make sense...dont get me wrong, I know there are people that are gonna say differently, but if they dont germ, blame yourself...what I am doing<since i'm growing a stagger crop...is, I just bought another batch of seeds...<I start these 3-4wks BEFORE I harvest first crop, with 2 "Whole Plant" pollinated girls...once I collect "my seeds" from first crop, I have my second crop growin...all the while "my seeds" are drying/ripening...THEN I will use "my seeds"! and breed again and so on & so on<Never will have to buy seeds again! That's the point, RIGHT! grow hard peoples....

Hm, I might just buy some feminized seeds online for the time being to fill that wait period so I can get some seedless...

Thanks, I learned something new :p
