Loving the idea of an Oregon meet up, hot springs would be really dope, but like you said how many dudes are we going to want in a small hot place lol. Additionally, I need a good bong to really appreciate good work and we all know we Oregon boys and girls do quality work, wherever we end up I can bring the ROOR if I have to.

Hello everyone out in IC Land. I am a long time member of the boards. I have been away from here for a while and away from growing for even longer. Since I am back and summer time is just around the corner I have decided to give Guerrilla Growing a shot on a Hill Side I have been looking at almost my whole life. I have done many indoor grows big and small with much success but have never really given an effort to doing anything outdoors. I have absolutely thrown out a clone or seeds here and there but something has always happened, lack of water, shitty spot and deer usually thwarted my efforts, well not this year!!!!!

The Spot: 46 Degrees Latitude, Northern Oregon Back Country, A hill side about 1/4 mile from a creek with decent PH. Was logged about 10 years ago and there are some prime spots where trees have fallen down and on the edges of tree lines. I Fished this area my whole life as well as hunted there and can count on one hand in 28 years the number of people I have ever run into. Plus no one crosses the creek, the game trails are on the opposite side and the creek runs fast so unless you have balls, or know the crick like I do you cant really get across.

The DNA: Ordered from Boutique, 5 Feminized Big Bang Greenhouse, 5 The Church Greenhouse Feminized, 5 Sputnik #1 from Paradise Seeds. I also have a BoggleGum Clone from a good friend and trusted IC member on here, as well as a C99 Clone I have had around for a while and has been successfully grown here before.

Preparation Purchased a 4 foot 8 bulb HO T5 Bulb to get these little girls started inside 50,000 Lu rated. I have wet betty for early feedings, Happy Frog soil for their indoor pots, rapped rooters for the beans. I have lots of other supplements from other adventurers like top max, bud candy, grow big, ect ect.

The Plan I am going to pop beans and pick up my clones on 4/1/2010 with the intention to plant them the second week of May. An old times told me he could always plant on mothers day and grow monsters so Im going to go with that :)

Soil Prep This is where I need the most help from you members out there. I am not trying to break the bank on this grow nor am I aiming for monster results, but I do know I don't like to smoke crappy weed, and if I don't do some sort of soil preparation I will not like the results. I have 3 sites picked out. I plan to plant 3-4 Plants per sight depending on how the seeds do during their early lives. Because of the amount of distance I have to travel on foot to get to these sites I can not pack bags and bags of soil into the forest because of my back issues ( I have the water packing issue figured out Ill get into that later). When the plants go outside they will probably be in like clear 44 OZ cups, and I am assuming around a foot tall depending on strain. After reading a lot of posts it seems that my issue is more improving the current soil rather than packing in an aftermarket soil. I am thinking, bone meal, blood meal, marine cuisine time release ferts for early life with re application of flower nutes later?? This is where I am really stumped and could use some help?? I would really appreciate any input. What of how much?? I plan on going out this Saturday to dig my holes and add my goodies to let them marinate for around a month.

Part 2 coming soon, Deer and Pest Prevention, Cages, and veg room construction.
I would get a bag of dolomite lime and calcitic lime to buffer the ph of the areas your gonna use a soil ph meter so you can get an idea of where you want to plant using the appropriate lime to bring the soil to ph 6.5 there are calculations online on how to calculate its use in larger outdoor areas where the soil surround you will be moving in by erosion and changing ph. Do that asap also bring some worm casting blood meal and bone meal and you want that to have a few weeks to cook in the soil and cool down. I have also known growers to use a mild watering of gh micro a week in advance to build up beneficial bateria in the soil to help fight off the bad bacteria that will be there and funny enough the good bacteria useually wins.

Thanks for the advise cateros, The weather up here has totally thwarted my efforts, because I can not cross the creek to get to the spot I need. Im only packing in the basic necessities.

Hey Samson, hope all's well on your side of the mountains. My in ground date for the plants is May 5th. Looking at the weather for the next three weeks I'm giving the 5th a plus or minus of a day.

My latest indoor is drying, going to start trimming tomorrow, and I'll post some blue magoo, ice, and 'black domina' pics.

Peace

Thanks for stopping by Horse, always good to see you. Would love to try some Black Domina, its on my must smoke list, has always avaided me for one reason or another, tried to grow it once and got all males lol.

Things over here are getting much more dry now. I have re vamped my plan a little bit because of the season and what I think is going to be another short hot summer. I am still doing this current project, but got 15 auto flowering seeds that I am going to try and have in the ground early may. If they work well and I can keep the deer away Ill run another batch. Found a great spot but they cant get too tall, plus an auto flower helps me with my mold problems.

let me know how the new stuff smokes, Ill be on the lookout for a smoke report. My indoor is running really thin right now, I harvested a small plant last week to make sure I had a solid stash for 4/20. But i'm a month out easy before next harvest, finally get to smoke my bogglegum again after 5 years lol.

I'll be following this as well. New to this site but I'm north central OR. Hopefully have some Shishkaberry clones going indoor next week and transplant in June.

Sage- would that happen to be a SOL sishkaberry? I have been looking everywhere for this strain, if you could direct me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it, I'm a medical grower in Colorado.

North Central Or. Welcome Sage PreSkool!.

Maupin area North, or more on the Rez? All my Shisk had male parts, had to give up on it.

I have to drop by CJ's (Gas Station) to drop some plants off in a week for a patient or so. I might have a few extra. Purple FX's...

peace.

Samson, I'll be taking some pics for u in a day, Everything still drying

Umm to be totally honest I'm not sure exactly what a SOL Shishkaberry is lol. The guy I am getting the clones from has been growing Shish for quite a few years.. Southern Oregon and Humboldt.

Umm close to Maupin, I actually guide on the Deschutes during the summer. Guiding > School

My roommates dad has found several thousand plant grows on the rez in the last few years.. He's a federal trapper, if only he'd tell us where the grows were first.. :smoke out:

I have a thread started in the Outdoor section if you'd like to check it out.. This is my first real try at growing so I'll see how it goes!

The CJ's up by govy? I'll hopefully be a caregiver within the next month or so.. Then next summer have a full med grow outdoors with 4 cards (24 plants!).

Nice Sage.
I used to guide out of Maupin, at the old Carol and Jane co. It's been bought and is something else now though. Also used to live at the guide house on the sharp corner into town. Would love to have a beer at the RainBow Room whenever.
You have enough plants this year? I'll be in Maupin soon.
Yeah, that's the CJ's all right.

We r going to party in the fall.

The house in town or up on the hill? The Bow is a great place during August. I should have enough clones for this fall.. I'm going to limit myself to 20 or 25 plants to try and keep myself sane... Thanks tho! I should have at least 75% shishkaberry and a few afghani and I'm not sure what else my guy has growing either..

I'll be working harvest 5 days a week, guiding Sat's, and then spending a day with my ladies. Mid August I'll get to start guiding a little more.

I did shiskaberry in southern Oregon last year for my medical season along with lemon diesel, they were amazing, some of the best work I have ever done. They were beautiful colors of red by the end of the season, and when cured had some of the best berry smell/taste I have ever come across. Again I don't know if it was the SOL shisk, but from everything I have read I think it was.

Horse- Very excited to see your pics, whats this purple FX you speak of?? I am a purple fanatic, always looking for new and fun purple stuff.

Plants are doing well, planning on a Sunday update with pictures.

This picture above is the Purple FX Indoor.

This picture below is Purple FX last year Greenhouse.

But I'm in my last Indoor P. FX run. I've got a Purple Ticinenesis from Owl's Production in Switz. As well as a few other of his strains. Heaven for one, and A high elevation skunk that should be done around the 15th of Sept. I'll be growing all of these OutDoor this year.

So the Purple FX will be retired by me, but it lives on in Mendo. I've been rocking it for 4 or 5 years now.

I've got a bunch of pics in my albums that are all for public viewing, if any one wants to see other shots.

Oh shit Horse!! Wish we were having our meet up sooner than later!! That domina looks like the real deal for sure!! The magoo looks very good as well, but man that domina just made my eyes light up lol. You said this was the last year of the Purple FX though right? That will be fun to try out in the fall. I am going to try and throw up pics of my Cinderella and CrunchBerry tonight with my update, but I can even seem to take good macros, so we will see.

Sage-My shisk were my biggest ones in the patch of 24, they all did over 4 dry, but they were in 200 gallon pots and were huge before they ever went out, topped a million times, allowed to grow very late in the season, ect.

Harry- U know I am a fan my friend :) I miss Eugene, I was back over the weekend to see the NOFX show on 4/21. Rocked my balls off, like all the way off. But I had some great times there during college, even though I am a Beaver for life, I will always love Eugene. I did a lot of shinagans there and running back and forth on 99, from Corvallis to Eugene.

***UPDATE*** Well what the crazy weather we have had the last few weeks. I have had to mow the lawn every weekend for three weekends!! Anyhow, I also got the "Get these pot plants off my dresser" speech from the GF and its not getting too cold at night now either so the girls moved to their rooms in the garage today.

Things have been going really well in the room, its been a few years since I did my own grow 100% by myself so its been trying. I finally did a good soil mix, fox farm ocean floor, some happy from guano, peralite, other goodies and in good pots with proper drainage.

My girls have really rewarded me, I am really happy with these sputnik #1 girls, They are very uniform and if the smoke is any good it will stay in my garden for a long time. I will clone the two best before the good outside in three weeks.

My two church girls are ok as well, one I fucked up really bad and is small with bad mutations, the other is doing much better, very indica dominant, so Ill clone that before it goes out as well. There is a purple church pheno out there, so i'm not taking any chances. Picture one is my three favorite Sputknik, second is my favorite church and the last is just kind of a shitty group shot of the rrom before I put the big wall on. Its just underneath my work bench.

Looking good Brother!!! Wrap a little panda film around the light and you have a chill little area. Keep up the good work. I had a few hashberry's root last night. Those will be headed out for sure. You made such a non believer in the auto flowers. I am going to make you prove them to me. Good Luck! 70 days away!!
