dealing with molases

for the last year i have done and tried just about every new thing in organics teas ,fermintation processes ,growing fungi ,gathering raw organic materials, none of that compares with dealing with molases ,so what i did was dry it out in a fish tank with heat lamp and fan lining fish tank with heavy black plastic heat lamp under covered with black plastic making whole for four in" inline duct fan 1/8"thick layer of grandmas blackstrap molases about six bottles.it took about a week but there it was molases in a dry form it was like peanut brittle broke into smaller pieces by removing plastic and rolling it into itself kinda like rollin a joint it still had a stickyness to it let it dry for another two days then to my blender its just like brown sugar,i blend and drie this several times with out heat and what i end up with is a very fine like brown sand not sticky at all dissolves wonderfully in water hot our cold. just recently added to soil mixture dry see what happens with tomatoes of course .i was wandering if any one knows what was lost during this process if anything i have been using it know for 3 mo.s with no diff from the ones applied the normal blackstrap.

Brer Rabbit (sp?) has the perfect easy pour neck. It's sulphur free; true black strap and has a higher concentration of goodies then Grandma's (less sodium too!). I don't have a bottle in front of me right to list the ingredients, but it blows Grandma's away. I really don't know you are going to lose much more then water trying to evaporate molasses, but I'm no chemist. I would hate to burn it, sugars smell nasty burnt. it seems that you would be condensing all the good and the not so... more salts, more sugar, just more. with all that work, to gain a concentrated form, I would definitely get the powdered stuff. Personally with the small amounts that I have used in the past, the rabbit was enough.

Dried molasses is livestock food. It's used for horses, cattle, swine and poultry operations.

It should run you about $20.00 for 50# of product. It's simply beet sugar molasses sprayed on rye seed hulls.

It works and is less messy than the f*cking liquid molasses products. Big time.

Not to sound like a buzz kill or anything but I just buy the stuff already in a dry form.
thats why i am on here to find quicker and easier methods to my madness that info is greatly appreciated.in fact after reading yesterday ,i went and picked some up ,i also noticed they had tons of microorganisms and enzymatic treatments fir livestock was wandering if anyone has tried these before .i got a few and will run a test on some tomatoes first.

im a first time grower that uses brer rabbit liquid molasses -all natural and unsulphured- and so far plants seem to love it. hope you post your results.

Sucanut is a great(eadible&organic) product that is available at most health food stores, if not they usualy have something like it:)

i think the question is why are u adding molasses for food? or for taste of bud?

if for food i would recommend BIOBIZZ GROW, and BLOOM. both are derived from molasses,
and BIOBIZZ is all organic:) if just for taste i would use Sucanut, personaly i use both:D
and my buds always taste delicious, the room even smells like sugar, no lie.

Peace,

it depends if u use another molasses based fert aswell, if so i would only put 1 tablespoon per gallon(make sure to shake it very well and look at the bottom to make sure it is all dissolved, if there is still granules on the bottom either u used too much or the water is too cold).

if u are not using another molasses based fert., then u can go up too 2 tablespoons safely.
the carbs from Sucanut, are readily available, and are a great source of energy for your girls; from what i remember the carbs last for about 3 days.

i think Sucanut is around $3-$5, very affordable

BIOBIZZ Grow & Bloom are great to, and they won't burn your girls, actually everything BIOBIZZ has is perfect for %100 organics, don't let the low numbers fool u, its all readily available, and can be applied more frequently, because its safe:)

Some BioBizz GROW, and Sucanut results, from my last run with no bloom nutes.

good luck, i am a newb myself, only a couple runs under my belt, but from what i have learned is simple true organics make it hard to mess up ur plants. adding to much stuff can burn your girls,
i never mess with PH, just add srping water:)
