Bubbleheads plz few q's

Sucks theres no embed code on ICMAG, they should have a but anyways

ALT has this little mini washing machine for approx 150$ on sale and judging from the video seems to be the easiest, most efficient way to make bubble. I for one have never done this but seek the best way to make my hash.

I like dry sift for the most part, but enjoy oil and budder as well. Never smoked much water hash however, isolator, whatever you care to call it but it definitely seems efficient.

Thoughts/opinions? does anybody own one of these things and would care to chime in?

As for bags, what would you guys recommend for this process? I think a 4 bag kit would be most efficient for my needs. Doesnt seem to expensive either if I dont like how this method works out in the end..

Also, when running this or making bubble in general do you use fresh, wet trim or do you freeze it for a few hours prior and then run it? From what I understand dried out buds/trim is a poor choice because too many contaminants end up passing thru and ruining the end product.

Hope to get some answers from you guys!:tiphat:

looks just like a bubblenow but with a ALT label on it...I reccomend those type of machines especially for those with muscle problems, stirring can get tiring

Id say go with the 8 bag set in the beginning so you dont have to buy more later but if your on a budget just get the 4 bag it worked great for me for a year until I just had to have the 120, 90 and just ended up buying a whole new 8 bag set lol

you can do fresh or dried but either way make sure you freeze it for 24 hours or however long until its frozen and good and cold, the idea is to get the gland heads brittle from the cold, helps alot imo.

Thank you, Kommander

I do have back problems myself so tediously straining 8 bags full of water might not be do-able for me. The 4 bag kit seems easy enough and pretty cheap too, does it produce a good product as well? Melty?

Yes I would recommend the 4 bag set for stating out....you can get some wonderful melty goodness out of the 73 and sometimes the 25, but the rule is: you get out what you put in....trash in=trash out chronic in=chronic out..I find the fun in making hash is that it turns out different everytime, always good but always different :D hope I helped you, feel free to hit me up for any more bubble questions....I can get real into depth with it lol

if it dont bubble...it aint worth the trouble :D

pS. if you have a bad back try to have it all set up on a table so its waist level....it will make all the difference of bending over continusly.

Hell yea! Nah seriously, thanks alot. I love talking about anything canna related or DIY related, its good to pick other peoples brains and learn new stuff.

I'd PM you if I could but I dont think I have enough posts to do so yet and i'm not the type of person to post a bunch of stuff like "nice grow dood" or whatever and speedpost my way thru.

As for material i'd be using a mix of some CHRONIC sugar trim (probably 15+ strains) as well as popcorn from many various strains as well. Not sure how much is really required though?

From the video I first posted it looks like he's tossing in at least a p or so and getting (what appears to me) to be a somewhat small yield. Would I need to use that much material or can you use smaller amounts when using bubblebags? Granted, i'm not saying i'd only run an oz, but I dont think i'd be doing anything over a half p or so. What would I yeild in the end you think?

Lastly my back, yeah I think that 32 gal trashcan method would work out o.k looks like all I have to do is fit it and let them hang for awhile/overnight? Wonder if anyone does the same thing

Frankly, although I really enjoy bubble hash.... I find it WAY too much work when compared to iso or bho processing.

Even dry sifting is more enjoyable as you are dry, listening to tunes and relaxing behind your computer, not stooped over a bucket stirring or blendering your cannabis.

Just one man's take on it.. Perhaps the machine will lessen the workload. The bubble now machine with bag set at :

looks really cool.

Peace bro.

Oh yea, forgot to mention, i'm not really sure what size bag i should be looking for either.. I assume its based off how much material you want to run? They go by gallon, 1 gallon or 5 gallon i'm not sure what the difference is. Just bucket size? Forgive me i'm sure this has been answered 10x over but i'm curious as well

if you are working with 200 grams or less I would consider the 5 gallon bags, if you are going to be running lets say 500-1500 grams then thats where the 20 gal(actually 32 gal) set would come handy....

if you are using trim with a bunch of mix strains then you will have some goodness in each bag hopefully as each strain have a different trichrome profile; size and high.

you can do any amount but imo the minimal amount for 5 gallon bags would be 1 oz max being a 4oz at a time...you can fit 8oz but its easier if its not filled to the max, and again it all varies depending on if it is dry material or fresh.

yeild is all dependant on the strain and quality but I have seen anywhere from 5% to a little over 20%....using top notch resin coated buds once I got almost 25% back

:D hope you had an awesome 420
