old seeds(10years old)

I'd try scarification. Scuff, sand, scrape or shave the sides of the seeds (esp along edges) to weaken the shell.
I soak them 3-4 hours in water, then in my normal slightly-wet-papertowel in a ziploc. I use a couple capfuls of 3% H202 (hydrogen peroxide) in a cup of water to sterilize the paper towel.
I've done VEEERY old seeds before. Scruff them up with some fine sandpaper, plant in your medium of choice, wait.
Some older seeds will take 3-4 weeks or more to germinate, many MANY may not make it depending on storage methods, etc.

I have kept mine in 4 layers (for lack of a better term) in Food Saver bags.
I just popped 10 seeds from 1991 and 8 germinated.

having problems with my old BLOCKHEAD beans..they are NOT popping going on day 10..all the rest..have started(but they are fresher)..these beans are at least 5 years in my collection and who knows how long in Gypsy's fridge..lol

i am using rockwell cubes which i have adjusted the PH due to its PH issues and I have my seeds on a hot tub but covered so not directly on the heat source at a temp of 99 F..my Kryto and Rez seeds popped in 4-5days
I have only 2 Blockhead seeds left and want them to work
I have read about Hydrogen Peroxide and scuffing

i scraped the flat end of the seed off and got some tuffies to germ, 2 outa 5. moist soil and soaking were not working.
i read a guy soaked his seeds for a day and then took tweezers and lightly popped the shell and got germination. do not squish the insides tho.

I put 5 BH in 24 hour soak and then paper towel. One popped in 48 hours and the second popped today (7 days later). They are sitting under a cup near a 400w HPS for heat. I used a pin to gently scrape the outer membrane, that's about it. Hope the rest of mine pop so I have a few choices for f2s.
