How To Isolate Multiple Males For Collecting Pollen

I have a few different strains going right now and there will HOPEFULLY be plenty of males to be able to get pollen from. I was wondering what your methods are in isolating each male so the pollen doesn't get to the other males.

My thought was to make a cabinet with cabinet doors on it and just a ton of maybe 1' x 2' squares and just running a cfl just to finish the males flowering.

For the intake exhaust I was just going to rig up computer fans and micro sized carbon filter but odds are a hepa filter film as well to help reduce pollen getting out of the box. The intake would be on the back of the cabinet as well for each box and will odds are have that filtered as well.

I keep it basic. I've got an old fridge I put my males in for their dark period. No need for fan or lights. The magnetic seal on the fridge's door keeps the light out.

I use a product called row cover, it a very thin white cloth that is put over veggies to protect from frost, itsmore like a thin felt. It allows air and light through but is tight enough to catch pollen grains. I make bags of this and put my males pot and all in.

hes trying to keep them seperate

if they are small enough put them in 2 liter bottels in top of plastic plates. Like cut the bottom of the 2 liter slide it over the plant..wallah

but what if they were different males, how would you isolate them in a fridge?

I have 2 old fridges plus a seperate area set up with cfl's. When the male developes large enough flower clusters, I cut them and put the stems in water and place them under the cfl's on top of a sheet of glass. When the flowers open, I use a paint brush to remove the pollen.

Get some frames and some silkscreens attached to them. Use each one with each seperate male to collect the pollen from the balls. Scrape those up off a glass surface and clean the surface. Use a new screen with every male and you shouldn't have any cross contamination. Order a tissue culture kit and make some tubes with ms and ppm. That will keep the males alive until you can test out there offspring and see which males are having the traits you are wanting. Then you can bring the male back at any time to get more pollen for later seed stock production.
