another anniversary date to remember (or forget), 4/19. we got the jump out van and swat team over to our place on that day. i guess they only have one way to do it. i had it hidden so well they asked for directions once inside the home.

in 2006 i was in my 14th year of growing, one strain, one plant, clone to clone to clone. i had a "monster" 430 flower and 250 veg and on that day my flower plants were just a few days into 12/12 and very very small. if leo was to weigh my dried bud, im pretty sure it would have been zero. i had made brownies (fantastic) the prior week with my trim, and they took the soggy spent trim that i had squeezed the butter from. even though that byproduct weighed a pound, i wasnt worried they would use that against me successfully.

i was never arrested or charged with anything. i recd a letter from the attorney general that summer. it was notification that i was electronically surveilled. the atty i consulted said that letter usually get delivered while the dealers in jail. in other words the brief letter was a formality.

aside from being self employed, at that time i belonged to 6-7 committees or boards of charitable organizations. in other words im an community activist and volunteer. and support a family. i wonder whos decision it was not to prosecute, and why? im glad they didnt pursue me criminally, but im curious what the community reaction would have been if they did?

Good to know your story had a happy ending.

What caused them to come to your place for such a small grow?

this is in NY.

yes they let me keep the brownies, glass and stash. (my brownies are like a hit of acid) I was handcuffed in my kitchen. one of the swat guys whips open the cabinet and says "look what i found boss" the detective told him to leave it "thats his glass".

how did this happen?? as in blame it on somebody else? i was the one doing it right, taking the risk? so i guess blame me.

but i know what you mean, who snitched? well they dropped a few names while here, asking me about this and that coke person. it was coke related by association. more or less bar friends, and i got dragged in their shit...

Wow...its awesome to hear a story like this with a better ending. Did you ever find out what electronically surveillance was? were they monitoring through the power company type of thing?

I am glad to hear the worst you had to endure was them taking your stuff. You are truly a blessed person.

Thanks

Great that you were able to get off with a warning. I'm guessing that someone in the coke investigation was ratting out everyone they could think of in an effort to trade their way out of serious charges. Why say you were a small timer, maybe you would turn up as a big time grower and the snitch would be off the hook. Smart move on your part staying under the radar, and not worth the system's time and effort to prosecute you. I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall in the donut shop after your big non-bust; a lot of cops had to be calling each other assholes and dumb shits.
Same concept with the D.A.'s office. Some assistant D.A. thinks he's going to be going after Tony Montana and the cops try to sell him you , the model citizen .
