BUYING SEEDS QUESTION!?

hey all, just wondering if i'm to order seeds from holland or canada etc to be sent to australia, what are the chances of them catching them?? is it often they get them at customs or rare or never happens at all? tell me your experiences i'm just curious about the best companies to go for and whether or not to use a fake name and phone number when purchasing them? am i right to be a bit paranoid or am i just worrying myself a bit too much? also if they catch them at customs can they follow it up with legal action?

from co's or buddies
what i send to buddies gets through, england, other side of canada, usa

yeah just wondering, does everyone recommend a money order to pay for them or using a credit card is fine? i've heard certain places will say they're a "lighting company in UK" and the like on your credit card bill etc to make it less suss. and is it ok to use your home addy assuming you've nothing huge going on there etc? if not, and you wanna use your credit card don't you need to have it shipped to the addy on the card? thanks guys

If your getting your gear from Gypsy using a cc is no problem. You do have to have it shipped to the billing address. If I use Seedboutique I use my CC. If I use another site I use a Money order.

do you guys recommend using a diff name just incase it is caught by customs or is that sorta useless because they'd be able to see your real name if they looked up the credit card info? or is it fine to use it even if you're using your own name because it'll rarely/if ever be caught by customs and even if it is they can't do anything about it other than confiscate it?

your being to paranoid. I have ordered seeds for 15 years here in the USA. I have had some orders go missing I have no idea if it was customs or the postal guys.

I've ordered seeds to NZ a few times and have had no problems, they have turned up within 5 days of ordering all 3 times. I used my real name and a credit card both times. I'm not sure about in AUS but here in NZ if they get caught by customs I think they just send a letter saying why it has been confiscated etc...

thanks guys, yeah i'm just trying to cover my arse as i don't really want to get caught up with the law at all etc, i guess you can never be too paranoid but yeah i should probably worry less. thanks again!

just order a couple of seeds at a time if you can darwin to see if they get through.. bugger all risk, and if they get caught you'll get a slap on the wrist if anything.. then when ya feel more confident from where ya getting them from you can get more... thats what we did

Seedbay or Seedboutique, never heard of anyone having trouble getting them into Oz.

Also ordering around Xmas when the mail system is overloaded to the max.

yeah apparently at the moment is a great time for ordering in seeds because of the volcano stuffing up the mailing etc over in europe, so anyone who's debating buying, now's definitely a good time if you're worried. cheers high country!

thanks for that chainbreaker, so when you say get a couple of seeds do you mean a few 5 or 10 packs or do you mean as in just get a single pack of a few seeds at a time? cheers mate

I have ordered from Seedboutique and never received my order. seed boutique is a one shot only. Maybe i am unlucky. I tried contacting with no results.

check the link.... it seems majority of seeds make it through
seedbay and seedboutique always have high success rates of getting seeds into Oz and have always answered my emails Promptly and always to my satisfaction

I can NOT fault the service at seedbay or Boutique

@ n1knightmare, thats unfortunate to happen.... did you send them multiple emails? it says on the FAQ's page, Only send 1 email as Multiple emalis will be interpreted as spam??? idunno but they have always been very helpful and prompt with me ....except on holidays!

No i only sent one e-mail. No one replied so i figured i had my answer. I might contact them again and see if could get a re-send. I only ordered from here once but ofcourse didnt receive anything.

i just made my first order and got a few diff things from 2 diff companies, one was seed boutique, i'll let you know how it goes.
