WI guerrilla grow 2010

N

North

I dunno where the hell ur from but where i grow it's been the hottest spring on record since 72. It might be wet but its definantly not cold for this time of year. here we broke record highs for April 1st 2nd and 3rd. GOTTA LOVE THAT !

yea, that may be, but now their talking SNOW tonight for a good chunk of the state, look at the averages man, its should still be cold, and could switch back to normal very easily.

hers a good map http://www.uwex.edu/ces/wihort/links/FrostMaps.htm

Two years ago we had killing frost the last day of May and thats why I always wait until June 1st.this year is looking good but I just looked outside and I see WHITE. LOL Me I will just keep going with June 1st but start indoors April 1st. ME loves putting out 2 - 3 foot plants that started indoors.

North--------- nice map and thaks that will help Dizzii3 and everyone I hope but every year will help more.

A bit east of you at the same latitude we generally wait until the first of June also. I've put out 2 foot plants like hillbillybuds says, in mid june and had 8 foot plants by August.

This year, though, I think I'll put out smaller plants, maybe in 16 ounce cups. Gets more difficult and worrisome hauling out the big plants.

North is right on with his comment on the dry ground this year. I'm thinking of using a marshy spot that has always been under a foot of water in the springtime and real wet in late summer, but this year I can walk through it in sneakers.

Heres some pics of soon to be spot A, i dug 10 holes all about 5 gallons... It was pretty easy work... not lookin forward to fillen em with dirt tho lol. Im gunna have to trim the pine trees back to allow more sun for the plants and next time i head up there i will be puttin up chicken wire around the site to keep the deer and rodents away. If u got any comments or ideas on how i can better the site or anything really i'd appreciate it! Pic one is the site before it was alterd and so on.

In 2008 I put Jack Herer and Trinity clones out between the second week of June and July 1st. The 10" Jack Herer clones put out on the same night as the rhythm and booms fireworks display (July 1st?) still grew to over 6 feet tall. We had almost no rain that year in August. If they had been watered more during August they may have reached 7 feet or more. I currently do not have a spot for this year but have access to plenty of clones.

Hey wutsup guys, here's a lil update for ya...

I moved all the seedlings over to my buddys place and there currently thriving under 3 35 watt cfl's. I got 5 bagseeds that are all about 6 inces tall and lookin real real good.

Also a member i met on this site (who i wont mention... he can speek up if he wants) was extremely generous and fuckin a kick ass cool dude (u kno who u are) donated 50 seeds to me... i cant believe his kindness and generosity, i was expecting to get 5 or 10 seeds in the mail and when i opened the package and found 23 bubalicious x grandaddy purp seeds, 20 bubalisious x blueberry seeds, and 7 hashberry F2 seeds i was shocked. I just cant mention enough about the kindness of him as well as all u guys for your help with my questions and ur awesome advice.

Yea anyway i germ'd half the seeds he gave me and there all about 1 to 3 inches tall and looking real healthy (i will be germinating the rest shortly).

My Credit Card didn't work (for the mountain mist and other strains) for some unknown reason and i've tried 3 diff seedbanks, its fucked up cuz ive double and tripple checked i have sufficent funds and called my bank to try and get them to accept the foreign charges... so i currently an signing up for a new card from a diffrent bank to hopefully be able to place a few orders.

YEAH WISCONSIN!!!!! Im the same age as you, hope you fuck up hard. haha just kidding. It looks like you're in the western central ish part? Just wondering how you plan on growing 200 plants without any clones? Bagseed isn't really a good idea around here, been there done that. Didnt finish fast enough. This year is nothing but kush and northern lights clones. 175 are rooting right now. Im pullin up a chair.

oh and i read somewhere you want to get 5 pounds a plant? O RLY :tiphat:

YEh a clone or plant started at the same time will begin flowering at the same time. Wut do u mean clones finish earlier than from seed lol??? how im gunna grow 200 plants from seed? im gunna get 200 seeds and plant em! yea i was runnin the numbers and figured if i grow in cali i could grow plants that would easily yield 5lbs a plant, check out some cali medi grow threads, it seems like a reasonable figure.... here in WI 5 lbs a plant would be an act of god lol, i would be more than happy if i got a oz a plant!!! but even thats a longshot.

Hey thanks for the link north that artical was a good read. Yea i dont plan on havin a field of plants all in well tended rows, im more plannin on diffent spots of 10-20, choppers are of extremely low concern for me in my area. Im glad i dont gottta deal with that!

Im talikin 5 pounders for a backyard grow in cali in 200 gallon smart pots... doed that seem reasonable or is that way more than i could expect? thats plants started in febuary, and harvested november in Cali

im talking about using bagseeds and not finishing because some are more sativa. If you arent buying fem seeds you will need like 40 packs to achieve 200 females. And yeah a 3-6 ounce plant is just fine in my book. Not nearly the overhead of an indoor grow. But having an indoor grow helps out when its time for alot of clones. And screw going to cali dude, michigan is right nextdoor. I think it might be easy to get a med card there?

Glad to find this thread. I use to grow in wisconsin growing up and still was a few years ago. Wisconsin is finally starting to look for stuff. I use to blow up a lot of the state parks and logging land but they started to fly a lot more in the south the past few years after they found a 1200 plant grow. Dane county flys a lot and so do the dnr in the northern part of the state. I have put 100 plus plants together no problem and then I have also had hundreds seized doing it. its all luck but hunters are the worse... I moved out to cali b/c of the laws in WI as I dont like to grow small. Will open a shop in the madison area as soon as they legalize medical...

Gotta love guerilla growing. Once you try it out your hooked. I know i am. hehe. Gl to you this year bro looks like you have things in order now lets pray for warm sunny weather and the perfect amount of rain during the season so we dont need to hand water.

Yea fosho its completly up in the air for bagseed, last year it worked out for me but this year i really have no idea. I only have 5 bagseeds growin so who knows tthey could be from mexico or some shit, im not coutin on them to finish so if they don't thats aight. The other strains i currently got are october finishers so hopefully we gotta warm fall cuz even thats real late. Im gunna b ordering hella seeds once i get my first paycheck, of earlier finishing strains (early-mid september), also i wanna try some autoflowering shit.... Yo good point u got about michigan, but im tryin to say fuck snow and get to somewhere warm if u kno wut i mean! yo mdk throw some clones my way an i'll hook it up

thatnk for the comments guys, glad to kno im not the only one growin in WI

Again clones do not need to go outside here until June and will still finish just fine if put out in early July. Most plants won't even begin to flower until the to end of August here. If you put healthy 10" clones out in the first week of July and they receive enough sun and water they should be 5-7 feet tall by the time they flower. In my opinion putting them out any earlier than mid June is unnecessary. Putting clones out earlier does not mean they will finish earlier. Earlier just makes it more likely that deer or other animals will get to them.
