I'm a broke mofo needing cash

So i love helping people learn how to grow and dont believe their should be a cost to learn. If it was not for people here helping me and a old mentor of mine i would not know shit either. Everytime i go to the dispensary i hear somebody looking for help w/ their dieing plants. I will usually give them advice but thats as far as i go. People are always asking if i would come to their garden and teach them how to grow or see if its set-up ok. I'm always decline becuase i get peranoid about who they may be. With my current finacial situation i'm actually thinking about doing consultations for a fee. What do you guys think would be a fair price? My grow right now is legal and i want to keep that way so selling is out of the question. I just really need to figure how i can put food on the table to feed my family and this is something i thought i might be able to do.

I say go for it, man.

I'd charge an hourly rate similar to that of a plummer, with each 'lesson' rounded up to the nearest hour.

only limit to making money is your imagination. ya could invent something on your spare time. hell try to make a clear starterplugs for clones so you could see the progress goin with the cutting rooting up. that make ya a small fortune right there. :friends:

most people would pay $50 to have their problems solved. do a monthly subscription for a smaller fee if you think you could sign enough people up. Dispensaries are probally a good place to advertise.

nice build pics in your album!

if you're just doing a simple consultation $100 isnt too much to ask (for me its not!). consultation (to me) means planning how to use the room/s, discussing grow strategies, nutirent usage, pest management, etc.

when helping to complete a crop i require a % of final dry weight... the % depends on a few factors - if im supplying all the gear and clones then i want 50% of the first harvest and up to 25% of harvests 2 & 3 if the op is large (4k+)... if im just providing tutorial instruction thruought i'll require 15% of final dry weight.

good luck with your endeavor.

A fair price would be free of charge.

As you said in your first sentence. Why go against your beliefs. Shit that makes you paranoid is still there too.

Good luck with finding a job and feeding the family.

Hypothetically, I'd rather deal. Why? its a bullshit law. People need. Anyway, I have a higher regard for dealers than consultants.

if you start putting on tutorials through dispensaries, you'd get alot of busines. I'd think about supplying babies to people/customers, it's easy and keeps people coming back to you.

Ty for the info. I was thinking in the same ballpark B. friendly. I know i could set up tutorials no problem at one of the dispensaries. Only problem w/ that is figuring out how to express my thoughts so people learn from it. Even when teaching friends i have a tendency to jump around and go down rabit trails if you know what i mean.

Green light. Charge a flat fee for going out to the location ($140). For that fee, you look at their setup and give them all advice you could possibly offer them.

Then sell yourself and offer them additional help so they keep coming back. You need to determine the pricing.

Do it like personal training, and sell sessions, one hour per session, $50-75 per hour, discount for purchases of ten or more sessions.
Session time can be used for anything for helping them build, to pure classroom, to helping harvest, etc...

I think its a great idea for you especially if yer in a med friendly state. If your good with diy ..You could also offer to design some things for them ,with ideas from here that would save them alot of money. There's all kinds of things you could make, and agree on a fee well below what some retail items would be..just a thought....I say go for it...
