Buds seem to be maturing at different speeds

Hey guys, this is my jack herer scrog in its 11th week of flower. It's one plant in dwc under a 600W HPS. Please excuse the yellowing, I went on a bender and left her in 100+F.. ouch =P

Anyway, some of my buds seem to be nearly there, like this:

Whereas others seem like they've got a couple of weeks at least to go =/, like these:

Is this normal? They're just on overdrive atm, but if they've got time left should I stick them back on some floranova?

Thanks a lot for any help!

P.s. click the pictures to make them bigger

It is totally normal for different phenos to mature at different rates. The ones that haven't finished look more like sativa dominant phenos to me and can take longer to finish some take 120 days; not that yours will. Are these started from seed? Are you seeing the pistils (hairs) turn tan colored yet? Do you have a magnifier? if you are seeing lots of gold hairs and some cloudy trichs just keep flushing if you don't maybe bring them back up to 1.7ec or so and let them go another few weeks.
cheers,
HM

sorry i should have made it clear, it's just one plant from seed - can one plant express different phenos?

the trichs on the more mature looking buds are still clear, but yep many of the pistills on the more mature buds are a tan colour.

does your advice still apply if it is only one plant?

should i flush out the overdrive and put them back on floranova n big bud, or just carry on with overdrive n add some floranova?

thanks a lot!

Hi sophanox,
Sativas will keep blowing out white pistils up until the day they are cut. This information was new to me until Arjan and Franco explained it in one of their videos. If you have a 100x zoom loop you can probably get away with doing a scattered harvest allowing each of the parts to mature but I myself was never one for that.

That's good to know, thanks man. Can anyone advise me on what to do with nutes though? i'm guessing my best bet is to put them back on floranova bloom till some trichomes turn amber, then flush and chop the mature buds, then go back to nutes if necessary afterwards for the immature buds.

that sound like a plan?

cheers

Totally up to you bro. Sativas can go 16 weeks into flowering. If it were me I'd keep them on the flush and allow the plant to use up all the reserves. Don't let the ambers take over though take them cloudy this will give you a real nice sativa trip. Taking them amber would only give you the indica stone which negates the whole purpose of growing a sativa. But then again a mix might be nice but try for 70% cloudy to 30% amber. The 100x loop will really come in handy here.

Ok sounds like a plan, thanks a lot. But I can flush for like two weeks right, before the plant will start to die from lack of nutrients. That begs the question how long do they have left?

I'll upload some more photos tomorrow, try and get some close ups to show you - but basically there seems to be new bud growth everywhere, despite the fact some pistills are turning tan. in the past 3 weeks or so some of the buds have actually grown vertically as well =/ - the trichomes are all still clear as well.

Do you recon I should put them on another week of overdrive, then have a look and see how they're doing. Or should I add some floranova bloom with it during next week? Or lastly should I just start flushing and flush for two weeks if necessary?

Sorry to keep pestering I just want to make sure this crucial part of the process goes well!

Thanks a lot

Thanks budbunker, but my buds are maturing at different speeds on the same plant! all the pictures are just of one plant.

Here are the updated pics, as you can see, the buds seem to be pretty well developed - but then there's is new bud growth shooting up everywhere =S. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?

Thanks for any help!

so she's now in week 12, trichomes are all still clear. Should I just assume she's gonna be a 16 weeker and stick some floranova bloom in for this week? Or just continue with plain overdrive?

thanks!
