Is Mayor Bloomberg a complete hypocrite or what? Last week the mayor appearing dressed as a hippy flashing the peace sign in a rehearsal of the off-Broadway production of "Hair."

Now Bloomberg tells New Yorkers the following:'no way, man' to legalizing marijuana.

Mayor Bloomberg isn't letting his stint as a hippie go to his head.

Two days after donning a long wig and performing with the cast of "Hair" in a psychedelic skit at the Inner Circle charity dinner, Bloomberg came out against legalizing recreational marijuana.

Marijuana users in California are pushing to make pot legal, noting cities and states could tax sales and raise $1.4 billion annually for their coffers.

Asked by a magazine reporter during his 2001 campaign if he'd ever toked, Bloomberg replied, "You bet I did. And I enjoyed it."

Yesterday, Hizzoner was less enthusiastic about weed when asked about the California push: "I would vote against legalizing marijuana."
If this is not the classic description and definition of the word HYPOCRITE, what is?

How would Bloomberg make any money selling NYCD if it was legalized? Of course he would vote against it.

BIRCH BARLOW: "....our pot smoking, tree-hugging, illiterate mayor, Diamond Joe Quimby..."

MAYOR QUIMBY: (watering pot plant) "Hey! er ah I learned to read last year!"

O/T for chrissakes...I had to use the spell checker to get "illiterate" right :S

I have a feeling that someone who has Bloomberg on the payroll decided that was NOT his stance.

all he said was he would vote against the bill.
I might vote against it also.
I use cannabis for both medical reasons and recreation... while I want it legalized, I don't think the end result from this bill are going to be all happyhappy... just more greed and problems. We need a better bill.
