Nope. There are two metal points inside the grooves on either side that pierce the insulation just enough. You need to watch this if you use thinner wire as you can "miss" the wire and have the point deflect to the side. I feel this is why I've never had a short as the connection point is very small and underneath the twist top...

Hey Chaos, how long do those solar powered LEDs stay on after they turn on? I saw some at Walmart the other night that caught my attention as I walked by the aisle and they were turned on.. It was so bright I thought "wtf is that behind me?" and turned around and saw them.. I immediately thought what a perfect option for keeping things in veg, not "oh that'd look nice reflecting off my house!".. they were so strong that looking at them for just a few seconds jacked up my vision..

Thanks,

BB

That's slick.

cool. LED's would be, hands down, the best solution for remote off-the-grid grows.

these lanterns charge with the sun and then glow all night?

The good bit is they only stay on for a few hours, not all night, giving me more chance of easing them into natural light without and flowering nonsense.

If you have a "proper" system, with a timer, you can trim the light down to just an hour extra at dawn and dusk, the garden lamps are cruder, but seem to work OK.

Yea, running like 10 hours or something nuts is what my concern was.. I've read some LED ads that say they run 12 hours on a charge and that somewhat concerned me.. You don't by chance know the model or at least brand of what you're using do you? I'm not going out until June 1 which will probably make it a non-issue in my neck of the woods but if this goes well this season the property owner is interested in going for 3-4 years.. I'd go for early May outside if I could not have to sweat the pre-flower deal as the last frost date in my area is mid april.... Thanks for your response!

How does one get a Butte Built tea brewer?

Well, that'd take a couple really solid referrals for starters...PM me if you think you may know the right people. My personal security far outweighs my need to sell brewers...thanks for the interest, though.

Would that be Mango Turd, Bomb Threat, or Chem Dawg smoke tJO?

I'm here with some Chem Dawg...Considering putting another partial hoopty up to do some Chem Dawg #4...Any one else think this lady will be just huge out side? I do...It stretches plenty, gets great light penetration, has a strong root system, the buds come on dense once they finally start to ripen...With enough support and cover I think this one could go for 10 with the right start.

I might just get one of these

Butte curious on what those twist lock light sockets you are using couldn't find them. Name of them by chance?
Should have my pots done tomorrow and wet down to settle, would there be an issue planting late April or should I wait until Mid May to settle. Will have pictures tomorrow.

6 100 gallon smart pots 8' space between each shooting for some 3lbrs. Would love that. .
1.5lb is my low shoot a plant.

I feel like if you start vegging in supplemental lighting in late Apr or early May, you will either need bigger pots or slow vegging strains. You don't want to run out of space in your pots before stretch, right?

The more you hit them with water the bigger they'll get if you have a huge root mass towards the end that is drinking all the time they may just get huge if you can keep the roots happy in that scenario...
