Tuck Trainwreck Or Greenhouse Trainwreck

About 5 Year Ago I Bought Some TrainWreck Seeds From Hillbilly Dreams And Have Grown It Every Since. About A Year Ago I Lost My Male To A Hungary Cow And Only Have Lady Clones But That's Another Story, Anyway I Was Wondering If Greenhouse Seeds Are The Same Trainwreck So I Can Grow Them Out For Males And Seed Them. Why Do You Say? TrainWreck With One Big Toke And That Hashy Taste Will Take You Up For About 2 Hrs Or So, So Far So Good, A Couple Of Tokes Later, And Your Taking To Yourself And Answering Yourself At The Same Time With A Great Big Smile On Your Puss, Add A Couple Of Beers And Your Comatose, So That's Why I Want To Keep This Stain Alive.

Bought Some Blowfish At The Same Time From The First Seedbay And Its The Exact Opposite So Its Up Up Up And Away!!!! But Not As Long !!!!

you can apply some Gibberellic Acid or Sliver Thiosulfate solution. Apply this to one of your females to produce male flowers. Use this to pollinate another female and you will have fem seeds for life. If this is a very special plant I would do this.

No GHS Trainwreck is not the same as the original.

I did not know you had your gear available Grat3fulh3ad. This is a much better choice then GHS.

Been saving my money for some HeadGear. Thanks for the update :)

If you want seeds. I recommend the method described by Hammerhead.

Is the Tuck Trainwreck not an Afghani [back]cross ?

... so therefore more Indica than the original Arcata Cut ?

The S1s of the Cut are pretty good, I run a Sargamatha TW S1 and plan on getting the Greenhouse version as everybody seems very happy with it and some phenos are good yielding which the Sag one I have is not.

Then again, I did not know Head was doing a TW, it is a really great strain and I would happily try that one out too..... Likewise BilyGoat's Oriental Express, a Thai cross TW looks very interesting.

Heads Trainwreck uses the original cut and was pollinated by one of Billygoats OE's. I am assuming the TW II is a second generation backcross to the original cut.

I honestly, have 2 packs of Oriental Express and also bought two packs of British Hempires TW work. (BH worked his line from Woodhorse seed stock from '04) I wanted to play around and try to come up with something close myself...

But since have acquired the actual Arcata cut myself...lol. Now I have no clue what to do....hahahahahaha.

I still have 1/2 a pk. of Tuckwreck. He gave them out as freebies w/ HBD purchases. I got two girls out of the 5, both similar, but like no other TW I've ever seen.
Richard Williams used a Tuckwreck (his term) for his Deep Chunk cross, Deep Wreck. Got a pk. of those too.

Tuck sold his stock to Woodhorse.

My 'Tuckwreck', 80 days.

I crossed it with Apollo 11 to create 'Rocketwreck'.

Ah, yes, I had forgotten about BH's TW work too .... but now you have the real Arcata cut, is that not the one you run ? or are some of the recreations actually as good ?

In my experience the trainwreck seeds which come from sexually reversed clone stock, do not produce accurate representations of the clone. The genetic math is similar to expecting F1 uniformity but getting F2 like variation. That's one reason I've never done "fem" lines.
No seeds could be easier to make, and fem seeds sell for a premium, but more often than not the results are sub-par when compared to the parent.

Well, the most intelligent thing I could possibly think to do is simply run the Arcata cut.

At least then, when I do start hunting seeds to play around with, I know exactly what I am looking for in terms of another female....

all you see now is fem seeds with a high price tag along with it and your chances of getting a runt or hermie are greater but i'm looking for a straight up strong line of genetics for some trainwreck and blockhead strains but i want to buy regular packs no fem packs.

any help to a new grower would be much appreciated.

If that is what you are looking for, then you just dial in for Head's upcoming release....

yup-but openly pollinating one cut of the clone back to all males from an OE pack would be swell

I've got some hillbilly dreams TW which is a stunning trainwreck line which i got via british hempire which was originally a arcata TW x afghani then steve tuck backcrossed the hell out of it until it was pretty much the same as the arcata cut and very uniform.British hempire inbred it once or twice before i got my hands on it and inbred it 2 more times to produce my trainwreck IBL which i released through seedbay and had some great reports from it.I've also got breeders choice The Wreck which is a arcata TW x white widow backcrossed to the original arcata as well as inbred until the widow traits just about disapeared, and a breeder friend of mn inbred the wreck to a F8 or 9 and i plan to make a F1 of the 2 differant line sometime this year as well as produce more of my IBL.

PS stay clear of greenhouse trainwreck as its definatly not from the arcata cut,far to much indica in it ,they might of originally bought it as the arcata cutting but probably got ripped off by who ever they got it off.
