Hermy seeds produce??

I got some Zeta from a club recently that had 4 seeds in the 8th that I got. This stuff was some BOMB sativa!!

Lets just assume the plant hermed on the grower. If thats the case, if I pop these seeds are they going to be hermies guaranteed? Or is there a possibility that thay will turn out female?

Id LOVE to pop these babies, Shit was some FIRE!!!

Ive never started from seed, only clones from the local clubs, but would be happy to try these for the first time.

Thanks for your time!!

I will be flowering a hermie seed in about a week, so I can come back and let you know in several weeks.

So far its vegging aggressively so I have high hopes.

Cool FoCo!!

Im vegging 5 girls now, Going to start flowering them on friday. If in fact yours turns out to be female, Ill start popping those for my next cycle, so please DO keep me informed!

Thanks

It's a crap shoot. Had you found 4 seeds in a kilo, I'd say odds are in your favor. This suggests a single male flower on an entire plant. 4 seeds in 1/8th suggests a certain propensity towards hermaphrodism.

we had this happen recently with one of the chem dog double diesels we grew. (we had two strong versions from 2 different seeds). my hubby says they probably would turn out female, but that there is also a strong chance we'd get a lot of seeds. since that version seems to pop out a lot of beans, we've decided to discontinue it, flower out the mother (it only seeds on the bottom thus far), and keep the other version. i wouldn't bother growing out the seeds.

you will have a higher chance of finding hermies. i have grown out lots of hermie seeds. matter of fact so many i shut off my oscillating fan only using exhaust fan.found quite a few plants that aint hermie.

I have ran many hermie seeds and bag seeds (assumed hermies) and the only time I had hermies was with stressers like topping them, light leaks and so forth. They seemed to be MORE HOPING to hermie and WILL if something triggers it.

I don't top hermie possible plants to minimize as much stress as possible AND don't run them too long as the end crop hermies can pop up as well.

Since this is a fun grow I just wouldn't run anything else with them SO IF they do hermie you can pick as many nanners as possible off BUT still get bud and some seeds.

too many people throw out bagseed BUT with hermies remember you can breed the trait out of them in a couple generations SO if the girls are FIRE I would run em, keep the keepers whether it hermies or not and keep a clone of it for future breeding efforts in hopes of minimizing and or removing the hermie trait from the line.

It seems that assuming the 1/8 he bought was intended to be "sinsemilla", this is limiting your choices. lets assume other possibilities. Maybe the club you bought your meds from got the buds from some seed crop that was not fully cleaned out of the buds, or an outdoor crop that that was accidentally pollinated but still very stoney. Lets face it, clubs buy and sell what they are brought. You said the bud was awesome, the buyer for the club thought so to, and for whatever reason the seeds were not an issue then. There are many reasons those seed could have been there. Just because there were 4 in an eighth only means that those buds got pollinated, you can't draw to many conclusions from that. I say pop them, if the bud was that good you owe it to yourself to give it your best shot, at the very least veg until sex is known then based on the look/health of the plants decide from there.

post pics as you go, I'm sure with all the knowledge flowing around this site many will help you make the most of this situation. Good luck .

ive grown out bagseeds that i assumed were from hermies successfully several times. All plants were female. Saw a couple nanners toward the end of flowering but nothing too bad, didnt produce any seeds. They were awesome free female seeds.

My last grow were only hermie seeds. All plants were hermies like they should be because mom was ladyboy.
You can manage with them removing ones, which make more balls than just 2-4 sacks after first weeks. Every plant made balls during first weeks. Removed them by hand and left plants flowered to end without making anymore new balls.

I found like 4 seeds from end product:

Here is the thread(sorry it is written Finnish):

if the grow it was from was stressed it might be fine.
the stress could trigger plants with a tendency to become hermie.

In a well maintained enviroment they should do just fine.

On the other hand, if conditions were optimal, or near optimal, chances are that you will get a room of hermies.

I have a Great White Shark that under proper condition doesn't hermie up.
However, with some stress it produces some male flowers.
It is the best strain I ran so far overall, but I don't need the headache thinking about the possibility that my crop will be polluted.

Do your thinking.
