Walmart, depot, lowes etc. have a variety of bathroom fans for sale ranging from $13 to $150 but I'm mostly interested in the one's around $20. I haven't seen any posts about them is anybody using these cheaper bathroom fans???

Really, so at what point do those fans become better off than a pc fan because the higher the price the quieter(at least I would assume with the panasonic whisper fans).

Those fans simply aren't efficient. Professional grade blowers & exhaust if you need something greater than a PC. Ive seen jerry rigs with industrial walmart exhaust fans and shit too. Those bathroom fans are useless I would imagine.

I read not all of the bath fans are rated for continuous service. Meaning not suited to 24/7 365 use.

I don't know of the exact fan your talking about when referring to the cheap one.

I use a fan I took out of my bathroom and put it in my veg box. This fan has a plastic impeller that throws air laterally 360. I just cut out a hole barely big enough for the impeller in the veg box and mounted it on the inside with the impeller sticking out the back. I would guess it moves about 50 cfm with high static pressure. Impellers have high static pressure.

Its pretty quiet and works great, I would guess it is about 20 years old.

I'm not talking about any fan in particular just that I was surprised at how cheap bathroom fans can be. The cheapest one was literally $13 and I think was 50cfm, next one up was like $25 and 70cfm, then $40 for 90cfm, something like that. The bath fans that were around $70 and up were "quiet" models and they had some on display which were almost silent on the low setting.
And then they had the lasko "stanley" for $50

Well, the Scythe Ultra Kaze PC fan has:
3,000 rpm
45.90dBA
133.60CFM
DC12V
0.60 A
~8 mmh2o

Turned down a bit it's real quiet too.
and it's only 12$ so I see no point in buying a $70 bathroom fan at the same specs.

I hung a bathroomfan at the top of my grow and used dryer venting to exit exhaust into attic.

Works pretty good.

without temps kept rising. Now it is sucking the hot air off the top of the ceiling and pushing it out side.

I been running it continuously for about a month.. (knock on wood) no problems yet.

Using it I dropped temps from 90 down to about 76, depending on outside air temps. I am using outside air pumped in for cool air.

so they do work, maybe not as good as fancy stuff ;)
