The season is coming upon us soon enough and
the cool sounds of our fav bands and the sweet
odors of finer herbs will fill that festive air.

The local fest closest to me is The Moondance Jam
this is the 20th Jam & I've been to most of them

It;s too early for the whole lineup yet.

Thursday night is the big winner at the Moondance Jam for me S4L.
I've never seen the other bands lined up for Thurs night but Sammy Hagar was @ the Jam in '03 & rocked the place hard. I'm not a real fan of Hagars music but he's one hell of a showman that got the crowd :dance013: roaring, I can't ever recall seeing the Jammers so lit up; I give him a 10 of 10 w/several of those points being tallied up to the electrifying experience.

He's also a pitchman that would've given Billy Mays a run for his money, he gets up on stage and pushes his Cabo Wabo Tequila as hard as he rocks.......

The whole Jam (except the VIP tent) is based on general admission/festival seating. it's fucking great. wanna get up close to your favorite band? bang! waddle down into the sand pit (actually fine pea gravel) and rock, me I like my hearing intact & I sit way back on the hill. sounds great, jumbotron for closeups, close to the beer/soda tent & food, close to bathrooms and usually nobody stepping/dancing on my toes.

the Jam site has been developed for these concerts and so every improvement made to the property is done as an enhancement to the Jam, it has gotten better and better every yr, the owners Bill & Kathy Bieloh take extreme pride in the show.

Visit that website to get a good feel for it, lots of detail & pics on the site.

EDIT:
in '08 we had Led Zepagain a great cover band that received this endorsement from Jimmy Page;
"It's amazing how much you sound like us...You must have grown up on this because you were inside the music, and you paid attention to detail in your presentation...I can tell you guys really love the music!" - Jimmy Page

dang! it never gets dark during the concert? how do you play grab ass w/the cuties then?

that looks crazy, a lot more than a concert though arctic, looks like you could go 24 hours a day there.
