Ph up Ph down all the same?

Greeting all, I asked this awhile back on a different forum with no answers, so I will try here. Are all ph up and ph down the same. I am using the up and down that I use in the hot tub. I believe it is the same just more concentrated. But since I am having a minor problem which I think is ph related I thought I would ask.
Thanks

no, and you claim to be a grower and caregiver? You know there is no such thing as a licensed caregiver in Co. only Red Card carrying patients, caregivers get no permits from the state.
I feel sorry for your supposed patients, You are using miracle grow for your patients medical herb, yes, you have a lot to learn before becoming a caregiver, and your grow needs a lot of work, I read all your posts, good luck

I like Advanced Ph+ and PH- Very concentrated and the plants seem to like it.

I use a dropper for adjusting 40gal, so ya know it concentrated.
I used to go through quart after quart of GH.
Now i've had the same bottles for over a year.

Thanks obey What gets me is if you look at the ingredients of most of them it's all the same. One salesman said his was food grade ph up & down but it was exactly the same ingredient but very low percentage.

The`main difference is that veg pH down should be using Nitric acid, flowering phosphoric acid

The hydro store adjusters are made from industrial grade chemicals, after all they're only resizing and labelling the product

'Food grade' ........ WTF is that for????

What are the ingredients of the the hot tub ph up/down?

General Hydro PH up contains:
Potassium Carbonate
Potassium Citrate

General Hydro PH down contains:
Ammonium Sulfate
Citric Acid
Urea Phosphate

Where I am it costs me less then .03$ per gram after taxes and last me and my friend a hell of a long time, mind you Im only adjusting the PH of 1 gallon at a time.

Ph decreaser contains:
Sodium bisulfate.

Ph increaser contains:
Sodium Carbonate

I think I am just going to go for the gh or advance. I too am only doing 1 gal at a time.

I've been using sulphuric acid for years. Just pick some up at your local auto parts store...and water it down.

1 cup added to a gallon of distilled water with a cup already removed. Now you have a gallon of PH down with enough left over to last a year or two.

I use sodium carbonate too for my pH up, and I haven't encountered any problems except for it being a very high concentration and will raise the pH too much if you're not careful. I always check the soil run off pH to make sure I'm still within good ranges.

I buy food grade citric acid crystals on ebay. comes in a 2 lb bag for about ten bucks. use a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon to lower my 9ph well water down to 6.4ph. dont have to worry about ph up here......
