Vertical Scrog 20 gallon containers

Well here is my story. I was vegging these girls waiting for the flowering room to open up. I knew they out grew the 3 gallon pots. Well they just got too big so I decided to rip the kitchen out and build another room. The room happen to be 8 feet wide. So what the heck. I started by replanting into larger pots. Well they still looked pretty big so I figured I better figure out how to support them. Well I came up with a back scrog. It was scary bending and breaking branches. Leaves were all twisted and turned in the wrong direction. I left the room shaking my head. " what the hell did I just do" Came back the next morning to a great surprise all the leaves were facing the light and no shock. Well me. I was shocked. It been about 2 weeks and the growth from the bottom is staggering. I will post recent photos soon. But to get started I'll post a couple older pics. Just to see if anybody is interested. I have posted grows on other sites and it never seems to interest anybody. But growing trees scrog on a vertical grow might perk someones interest.

time for some new photos

time for some new photos

I just looked at the photos I posted and boy have the plants changed in 2 weeks. I think everbody will be surprised as how quickly the screen filled up. Currently running 1000 watt blue metal halide. I have 4 ushio 1000's and 4 cool tubes and will be running CO2. I have everything but time. Stay tuned.

Well I'm fighting some nute problems

Well I'm fighting some nute problems

I have posted the nute problems on another thread but thought I would put up some newer pictures.

I'm wondering how far they will continue to stretch.

Strains: blueberry, light of jah, carmelious, AK48 and trainwreck. Should be a real party.
Look at the new undergrowth. I have no idea of potenial yield . I guess I'm shooting for 4 oz. per plant. 12 plants total.

Plan on building cool tube towers 2 1000 each. Flip floping top and bottom light with a relay every 2 hour. So basically 2000 watts always running during the 12/12. I could just run the extra 2000 watts but curious to what kind of yield I can get out of 2000 watts. Is that cheating? 2 thousand watt ballast running 4 lights? I think 3lbs shouldn't be a problem. I know there are grower that would double that estimate but I'm a realist.

Welcome all and thanks for any input and prayers:D

Very nice. I like your style. Personally though, if I were going to flip flop, I would flip flop another room. You'll definitely get more yield than using it as a light mover.

I dont see anything wrong with those plants, what is the problem with them?

I would remove alot of the lower growth though..., anything within the first few inches of teh screen and anything not supported by the screen along teh sides. It will just be a problem later on

How do you insert a picture so it isn't an attachment or link. Just want the picture to be in the post. Anybody have any ideas?

Hey Doradoguy.. if you create a photo album from your profile page, you can upload the pics there.

When you create a new post, click the "Forum Albums" button then navigate to the pics in the popup menu. You can then drag and drop thumbnails, or even click on the images and then drag and drop fullsize images right into your post!
I hope this helps,
Che

The lower light looks a little low. I set it at 18 inches above the ground. I guess when you have 7 foot trees it would look a little low.:) I started with 54 inch long box, which I will be forcing air into. I have the exhaust hooked up to a 6 inch fan for the sucking. There is 24 inches between lights. Flipping the switch tomorrow. If the stretch is double or triple I'm pucked. Could get interesting. Plan on using veg nutes for the first two weeks.
