Pyrethrum TR bomb/

Hey I am dealing with a moderate infestation of spider mites on all the prominent fan leaves but no webs yet, 4-15 days until chop.
I've used Safer's Insecticidal soap for dealing with same moderate invasions in past but if used too close to harvest Its left the buds tasting of pyrethrum.

Now I got a 2oz Pyrethrum total release canister (4% pyrethrins
16% piperonyl butoxide) but didn't think about size of my growspace.
I'm using a 2.25x3.5x7.5'h pandafilm & duct tape sealed space inside a cab located in a living/sleeping area (not 100% airtight). Instructions on canister are to cut off all ventilation to growing area.
I can do this, but will this Pyrethrum total release 2oz be way too much for that size of space? This sounds possibly very unsafe for the plants in cab and people outside in living space, like gas chamber unsafe. can I even use this thing in 59 cubic feet?

I wouldn't use it.

Honestly I hate those things, I had someone talk me into using one and it ruined a whole crop.

but in that space I think it will cause problems for sure.

Do not use those pyrethrum bombs in your growroom while flowering, or growing anything for that matter. These things are extremely toxic and digestion of these chems could cause serious problems. WAit until after yoour plants come down and then spray to kill any remaining infestation. Keep some ventilation in an adjacent room and you should have no worries.

I have sprayed a 6'x5'x8' space and still have about 2/3 of the can left so you dont need much. Stuff is POTENT! and expensive so use it sparingly.

That close to harvest, vaccuum is about the only choice, it removes them, and some trics, but it is the best option.

Thanks mexi, trich and haps for the advice unfortunately I already used it... Looks like you all are correct, I just hope the buds salvagable. It was definitely too much, I decided to go ahead and use it because a usually reliable source of info claimed having no problems in that amount of space (sure say anything to sell it I guess..)

Basically every surface of everything plants and equip is coated...The leaves look waxed and seem a little mottled/burned especially the already sensitive bluecheese (just now 12/12, no flwers yet)

the buds on my finishing hybrid are coated, totally defeated the purpose of not using safer insect soap. wow should have listened to common sense on this one. Unfortunately this strains ultra sensitive to budrot/mold but feel all I can do is mist it as much as possible to rinse the pyrethrin shit off ..I can allow another 10-15 days longer before chop.
Whats the best way to get the buds cleaned up?

wash the shit out of them, you will never get the taste out. I bought one of those back pack pumping sprayer things so I could spray my plants off with enough pressure to matter. I used the shower in the past with one of those shower heads that is on a hose.

you can do some research on how long it takes for the poison to be all gone, but I think those bombs use another chemical that isn't easy to find out when or if it goes away.

in and of itself it isn't a pesticide but it make them work better.

I had a buddy I gave mine to, I told him all about it but he didn't care.

he is still alive, so there's that.

sorry to hear about your crop man, bet you'll never do that again! this may set you back but the experience will make you a stronger, smarter grower

have you thought about doing a water cure? i'm sure this will improve the final product in your case

-mexi thanks again, already given two mistings will shower it tomorrow; any further advice on washing them? (especially since this ones ultra sensitive to budrot)?

-rooted, how does water cure work?

wow. NEVER using one again. my bluecheese just coming out of veg is scorched beyond recognition. The finishing plant's buds (some thai x indica) still reek of pyrthrins, many washes ahead.

anyone else got ideas?
