What's new

which vaporizer?

hi guys and girls,

im searching ebay for a vaporizer, and i like "Easy Vape" digital vapos that go up to 400F. They look simple, pretty stealth (at least in my area where noone knows what vapo is), but are pretty cheap like 50$ and im wondering will this be ok, or is it a piece of shit? Im not looking for anything superduper, just simple vapo with heat regulation.

Also is there any that you would recommend?

I'd be wary of a $50 EasyVape. They run $150 and I'd be worried of it being a knock off or stolen. Quality units like Volcanoes, Surfers, VaporBros are rarely discounted more than a few bucks.

If I were you, I'd get an Arizer Extreme-Q, it looks pretty awesome, has everything the volcano has PLUS a whip and a remote control for around half the price. The volcano is an overpriced POS in my book.

Started with the Vaporbrothers and used it for over a year. The quality is good and they stand by their warranty. Just save the receipt.

Upgraded to the Arizer Extreme a few months ago and the wife really likes the balloon method. I sit in the den blowing up balloons and hand them out to her while she's watching TV.

But when I'm just smoking myself, I still prefer the Vaporbrothers. Simple with no nonsense. Wish I hadn't given it to my brother.

Considered the $50 vaporizers on ebay. My guess is they might be more prone to burning out due to cheaper parts.

Actually, shame on all of us for not asking; Have you tried vaping before? Hard for me to imagine why someone wouldn't love it but, I can't imagine why anyone would want anything to do with Indica either and Tons-O-Folks love Indicas.

Point being it's different enough an experience that some may not like it at all. A $50 unit for test purposes prior to forking out $150-$500 makes sense. I'd recommend a VaporGenie or similar. If you hate it, you only lose the $50. If you love it, invest in a proper desktop unit and you'll still have the portable to take to parties, concerts etc

50= vapor genie *get original and you can paint it (while trippinnn)
150= da Buddha *3 year warranty, they have left one on for 7 years straight
after that is a splurge

For home: Vaporbrothers

For portable use (and discreet-ish): Iolite

There's a good thread about the Iolite on the forums...just do a search.

all i can say is dont get a vapor genie, bought one and absolutely didnt like it, ended using it just as a pipe more often than acctually trying to vape with it.... i mean its not useless....but by far from anything worthing mentioning.... stick with a box vapor or something like the arizer extreme or volcano... just IMO

^the vapor genie is very versatile and durable. want to vape in the bathroom on the train? do it just grab a lighter.
NO its not a great as a plug in vape but the thing works as a first vaporizer

I love my iolite. It's super portable. I can walk around my house and use it while I'm doing other shit. It's great.

try getting a variable temp heat gun and a vabor bowl for any current glassware you already own.

yeah I hated that thing, used it a couple times and then did like you said and used it as a pipe. I liked the vapor brothers, gave it to my grams tho. Personally I dont like the high from vaporizing, gets me too high plus its different, not my kinda fealin I guess. I say try before you buy if you can. Vapor brothers was a good quality tho and pretty easy to use once you get your temps down, gotta wait a couple minutes while it heats up tho.

Portable:
Iolite or Vapor Genie

The vaporgenie as more convenience rather than a pristine vape experience.
Vaporgenies are on the exact same levels as box/whip vaporizers in terms of high/taste/technique
Iolites seem cool too, a little more pricey, a little more that can go wrong with them, but convenient if you can find a good supply of butane.

Home:
Volcano
Or if you don't want to spend that much, a box/whip vape is good depending on who makes it

Volcanos are good for convenience at home because they have a great bag system.

I just bought an arizer v-tower today. Its the more basic version of the arizer extreme. It was $200 vs 300 for the extreme. I chose it over the extreme because I didn't like the balloon idea too much. It doesn't have a remote control (I always lose them anyway so that didn't seem necessary... I'm always somewhere within arms reach if I'm partaking in a session. It also does not have the three speed fan like the other model. Though, I don't mind using my own drawing power to use it, and actually I prefer that. If you draw in quickly, the vape is more thin and cooler as well. If you draw slowly, you get thicker vapor. It comes with glass fittings, and has the ceramic heater cover like the volcano. I had a friends volcano for a little while but it didn't get used much for some reason. However I find this, so far to be a rather quality unit. It is easy to use, the digital display is nice, and its a tasteful, simple design. Maybe its not the buddha or silver surfer sort of arty looking thing, but its well made and clean looking stainless steel. The fittings all fit perfectly together. I found that the temperature 215 C was best for my particular weed. I'm a little disappointed in the supply I have right now, it was hermie and I found a bud with about 30 seeds in it. yikes.

however... I am very very high. moreso than I have been in some time to be honest, and that weed was unremarkable to say the least rolled or in a bowl/bong. I am a month away from a decent harvest of my first grown satori mental floss and safari mix but til then, I am still very impressed with the quality of the arizer so far. This is my first investment, but for $200 it will pay for itself over and over again by the tiny amount of weed it uses up in comparison to smoking over the 2 year warranty. I don't like to buy anything I might be disappointed in, when I called the local smoke shop he says the only brand he carries now is the arizer because of its quality. I had a look here at IC and found a lot of the same happy customers, and read a magazine review on one that said more of the same.

I'd have to agree with them. not that I'm an afficianado. This is my first vape. Just can't help the health benefits, and now, I realize, the taste factor as well. If you're looking to get a new one, it might be cool to try the upgrade extreme model, with all its bells and whistles. It also has the balloon function but also has a whip, the 3 speed fan, the remote, the gun metal finish. I like to read peoples reviews before I invest in something.

IMHO I like it ) I am pleased with my purchase. partly because of this thread thanks!

I tired a cheapy for about $85 for my first experience and let me tell you that was a waste . . . .

I finally spent what? - $185 ?- on Da Budha, a cousin to the Silver Surfer, and it changed my smoking habits.

Great value, great look & really nice high. Get one.
